Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation

God is our savior, He designed us from before the foundation of the world and deserves the glory and honor of all His creation.

From eternity He has been our refuge, and His sovereign plan includes each step we take. Nothing in our lives is accidental or without purpose, for the God who shaped the universe also shaped our destiny with love. For that reason, all glory and honor belong to Him alone, because everything we are and everything we hope for flows from His eternal will.

In God we are more than secure, although storms and difficulties come, we do not faint because God sustains us and keeps us day after day. There are no walls or barriers that stop us when the Almighty walks by our side. The believer does not rely on his own strength but on the One who holds the heavens in His hands. Trials may come, the winds may blow with force, but the anchor of our soul remains firm in the Lord.

At all times we must be confident and believe that His mercy will guide us and keep us forever, because there is no darkness that can face us. His light shines on us even in the deepest valleys, and His presence removes fear. When everything around us seems uncertain, His voice reminds us that He is our shepherd and that our souls rest upon the Lord. Every step we take is under His care, and His mercy is new every morning.

Whose salvation comes but from God? There is no other in which we can be secure. Only God is the One who gives us true security and allows us to see His wonderful salvation—a salvation that fills us with life and confidence. Faithful is He from whom our salvation comes, and because of His faithfulness, we can walk firmly even when our eyes cannot see the way. Human strength fails, human promises fall short, but the salvation of the Lord is eternal and unshakable.

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

Psalm 62:1

These words are very encouraging, the expression of the previous verse motivates us to trust and believe in His divine salvation. David wrote these words in moments of deep affliction, and yet his confidence did not waver. He teaches us that waiting on God is not passive resignation but an active trust in His perfect timing. To wait upon God is to declare that He alone is our hope.

These words can be spoken with great confidence, because we will have peace in the Lord. We do not believe that adversities are greater than our God who is before us. Sometimes doubt can visit us, whispering fear or uncertainty, but if we are rooted in the promises of the Lord, that doubt will quickly flee. Peace is not the absence of problems—it is the presence of God in the midst of them.

Let us remember something very important: we must have words of honor every day for our Lord. When we pray, let us also speak words of truth and faith that lift our soul. With authority and devotion we can say: “Oh Lord, from You comes my joy, my refuge, and my salvation. Only in You waits my soul; only in You can I fully trust because You are the God of my salvation.”

Let these expressions be not only repeated phrases but a genuine declaration of our hearts. May we rise each day with gratitude, walk with confidence, and rest each night under the shadow of His wings. He who saved us continues to sustain us, and the same God who began the good work in us will carry it to completion. Blessed be His name forever, for our salvation, our strength, and our hope come from Him alone.
