Admirable and Counsellor is our God

God is worthy of admiration, He is our savior, our counsellor, every advice that comes from Him is for the good of each one of us. Remember that if He advises us it is because He loves us. Let’s not forget this: His love is great for us.

God loves us, and like our earthly parents, He does not want evil for His children, so He demonstrates an infinite and sublime love, which no one on earth can show.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6

This is our God, who was presented for humanity to recognize Him, His way, and His great power. There’s no one like Him.

When the prophet Isaiah announced these words, he was not only describing a historical promise, but also revealing the very character of the Messiah. God presented Himself to the world as a Counsellor, because humanity needed guidance. Since the beginning, mankind has tried to walk by its own understanding, and time after time that path has led to confusion, pain, and separation from God. That is why the Lord, in His mercy, chose to guide us personally.

God’s advice is never forced, nor is it given to control us, but to protect us. His counsel is born out of perfect wisdom and eternal love. Unlike human advice, which can be biased, incomplete, or influenced by personal interests, the counsel of God is always pure, just, and directed toward our well-being. When He corrects us, it is because He sees the danger ahead. When He instructs us, it is because He knows the right way.

That is why we must admire His power and His majesty, let us give glory to God for His great works. Day by day we must glorify His holy name, from Him we receive good so that we can continue advancing in His holy name.

Trusting in God as our Counsellor requires humility. It means recognizing that we do not have all the answers, that our understanding is limited, and that only the Lord sees the full picture of our lives. Many times we ask God for help, but we resist His guidance because it challenges our desires or confronts our attitudes. However, blessed are those who listen to His voice and allow His Word to shape their decisions.

Do not doubt that God is our best advisor, that there is no other who can help us and show everything that does not suit us. That is why we trust in the Lord. We only should trust in the Lord, we do not reject His advice, because blessed are those who receive advice from God.

God also reveals Himself as the Prince of Peace. His counsel does not bring fear or anxiety; on the contrary, it brings peace to the heart. Even when His guidance leads us through difficult paths, His presence assures us that we are not alone. Obedience to His counsel may not always be easy, but it always produces peace, maturity, and spiritual growth.

Let us value this sacrifice that God made for each one of us, receive His call, listen to His voice and give thanks every day, because we can receive His great mercy.

Every day we have the opportunity to seek His guidance through prayer and through His Word. God continues to speak to His people, leading them with patience and love. He desires that we walk securely, trusting in His wisdom rather than in our own strength.

He is God of peace, very high and sublime, prince of peace, God of love, merciful and great. Let us praise Him because He is God counsellor and admirable, this is our God.
