Everyone who is righteous is blessed by God because He loves and likes to do justice day after day, he who does justice always thinks of everything he does, to do it for the Lord, he does not do evil like many, so he is cared for by God with shield.
What shall we say then of those who deviate from the ways of God? These become bad and they no longer practice justice but do evil to their neighbors. These are not the same because their lives change because the enemy takes away that grace that they possessed from God, that by turning away from God they moved away until they fell.
The blessings that the righteous receive come from God because God sees the effort that each one makes to do good, to help everyone who needs.
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:12
People who are righteous do justice and love justice, have mercy, are kind and help everyone who need them even if they are enemies. It doesn’t matter to them, they know that God looks at them from the heavens.
To each one of these people who love doing justice, God strengthens them every day so that they continue to do the good work with their neighbors. God covers them from all evil of the enemy.
The favor of God surrounds day after day each of these people who do justice with others, God is pleased to see everyone who does mercy and that is why His grace overflows greatly over them.
The shield of God is always in their defense, to defend them from any attack that comes against those who love His justice, who maintain sincerity and truth before the Lord.
Doing justice before God is not merely an outward action, but a condition of the heart that reflects obedience, humility, and reverence toward the Lord. The righteous person understands that every decision, every word, and every act matters before God. That is why they strive daily to walk uprightly, not to exalt themselves, but to honor the name of the Lord in everything they do.
God delights in justice because it reflects His own character. Throughout Scripture, we see that the Lord defends the innocent, lifts the humble, and corrects the wicked. Those who align their lives with His justice find refuge in Him, because they are walking according to His will. Even when difficulties arise, the righteous trust that God remains faithful and that His protection never fails.
On the other hand, when people turn away from justice, they also distance themselves from God’s covering. This does not happen overnight, but little by little, through disobedience, pride, and neglect of God’s Word. As a result, their hearts harden, and their actions no longer reflect love or mercy. This separation opens the door to confusion and spiritual weakness.
However, God continually calls people to repentance and righteousness. His desire is not to destroy, but to restore. Those who return to the path of justice find once again the favor and peace that come from living in obedience. God strengthens them, renews their faith, and surrounds them with His protection.
Living under the shield of God does not mean a life without trials, but it does mean a life guarded by His presence. The righteous trust that no matter what comes against them, the Lord is their defense. This assurance gives them peace, courage, and perseverance to continue doing good, loving others, and walking faithfully before God.
Therefore, let us strive to love justice, practice mercy, and walk humbly before our God. In doing so, we can be confident that His favor will surround us like a shield, protecting us and guiding us each day according to His perfect will.
