The Lord is your keeper

Our trust is in the one who can do everything, and that is the Almighty Lord, God, our keeper, who protects us all the time, even when we walk in valleys of shade He takes care of us. His protection is not occasional or partial; it is constant, loving, and powerful. Even when we are not aware of the dangers around us, He is watching over us. The Lord surrounds us with His care, strengthens our hearts in difficult seasons, and guides our steps so that we may walk in confidence.

The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.

Psalm 121:5

It is important that we think that there is only one who is always aware of us, He takes care of all evil, when the enemy wants to disturb us, God perceives us of the evil. His vigilance is perfect; He never sleeps nor becomes weary. There is no scheme of darkness that escapes His sight, and no attack of the enemy that He cannot stop. When fear tries to invade our mind, God reminds us through His Word that He is near and attentive.

God never departs from our side, He is always around us to take care of all deception of the evil one, under His shadow we are safe without fear that the devourer will attack us. The presence of God becomes a shield around His children. Even in moments when we feel weak or vulnerable, His covering protects our spirit. The enemy may try to whisper lies or plant fear, but the Lord stands as our defender, ensuring that no weapon formed against us prospers.

The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.

Psalm 121:6

The power of God is so great, that the Psalmist spoke of His power, and he said that the sun would not strike us by day, nor the moon by night. Who is the creator of all these things? God, worthy of supreme praise. He is the one who controls everything. His authority extends over all creation: the heavens, the earth, the seasons, and time itself are under His command. Nothing in the natural or spiritual realm escapes His sovereign rule. This declaration of the psalmist reminds us that the Creator of the universe is also our personal protector.

The Psalmist David had very difficult moments in which he felt overwhelmed and persecuted by evil, but David did not stop—he asked God to help him and sustain him in his difficult moments. David’s confidence was not based on his own strength or abilities; it rested entirely on the character of God. He knew that even in the darkest valleys, the Lord was present, guiding him and preserving his life.

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.

Psalm 121:7

But something that David had was that in his bad moments he trusted in God and kept moving regardless of his aggressor or what the evil one wanted to do against him. The psalmist was sure that God was with him. This kind of confidence does not come from emotion but from faith—faith in a God who does not fail. David understood that God’s preservation was not only physical but spiritual. The Lord guards our soul, strengthens our faith, and keeps us standing even when adversity surrounds us.

One of the wonderful works that God did was that of the people of Israel when they were under Pharaoh’s command. Because they were called by God, He brought them out of that place with a mighty hand. This is the God in whom we should trust with everything we have, because if He promises, the moment will come when He will fulfill. Israel saw miracles, signs, wonders, and divine intervention in ways no human could orchestrate. God showed Himself strong to remind His people that He is faithful to His covenant.

Although Israel was often unbelieving, God kept His word. But God also hardened Pharaoh’s heart for a purpose: so that Israel would recognize that He alone is God. The greater the opposition, the greater the display of God’s power. Through this, Israel learned that salvation comes from the Lord and not from human strength or strategies. God sometimes allows us to face impossible situations so we can witness His glory.

The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Psalm 121:8

It is important to recognize that God is our refuge and our strength, our early help in the tribulation. The Lord will keep us from the trap of the hunter and the destructive pest, no matter all those who want to rise against us, because we have one who fights for us: God great and strong. His protection is not limited to a moment; it extends throughout our entire journey. From the moment we wake up to the moment we sleep, God watches over us. From this time forth, and even forevermore, His hand sustains, defends, guides, and blesses His children. Trust in Him, for the Keeper of Israel never fails.

In my Father's house are many mansions

    Our soul waits for the Lord…
    We have confidence in His power and His mercy because we do not deserve anything: neither to be helped nor to be in the presence of the Holy Eternal God.
    However, he wants to meet with us and He manifests His love and good Will for us. Let’s praise his name for ever: for He is good.

    “The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.”
    Psalm 121:7

    The Lord is our helper, who protects us from evil or any pest which he may let hit the world.
    Let’s adore our God and serve Him, under His leadership and according to his Will.
