God has given us eternal life

Jesus was sent by God to the world to give us eternal life, but what must we do to obtain eternal life? Follow Christ and leave everything that is not to His liking. To separate from the world and its desires in order to receive that beautiful promise.

Let us not forget that, if we do not confess with our mouths that Jesus is the Lord and that on the third day He rose from the dead, we will not receive eternal life, because He is life.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

1 John 5:11

Here the apostle John is making it clear to us that Jesus is the promise, who was sent by God for the salvation of our souls, because this was the Messiah sent by God so that we would be freed from evil and so that we could open our eyes and let us not be deceived by the enemy of souls.

Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 John 5:12

Remember that everyone who has already accepted Jesus as their only and sufficient savior has eternal life, because He is life, and it is from Him that the peace that runs through your interior flows, bringing encouragement to your soul, restoring your life, He is the one who removes the obstacles that are before you.

Because Jesus came to give life and life in abundance, but this life that is eternal, will only be received by one who is willing to leave everything for the Lord, because this wonderful life can not be found in man, but in God, who is our savior and refuge.

The message of eternal life is not simply a theological concept—it is the greatest invitation ever extended to humanity. God, in His infinite mercy, sent His Son so that sinful men and women could be rescued from condemnation and brought into the joy of everlasting fellowship with Him. But this gift is not automatic; it requires faith, repentance, and surrender. Eternal life is not merely a future promise—it begins now, when the life of Christ enters the heart of the believer. That is why Scripture constantly calls us to turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, so that we may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified. To have eternal life is to know Christ intimately, to walk with Him daily, and to experience His transforming grace in every area of our lives.

John emphasizes that eternal life is found only in the Son. This means that salvation cannot be achieved through good works, religious rituals, or human morality. Many people strive to obtain peace through their own efforts, but true life can only be received, never earned. Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” revealing that He alone is the door through which we must enter. Without Him, there is no spiritual life—only emptiness and separation from God. But when Christ dwells within us, everything changes. He gives purpose to our suffering, direction to our steps, and hope in the midst of trials. His presence becomes our assurance that eternal life is not merely a distant dream but a present reality for every believer who abides in Him.

For this reason, the call of the gospel is urgent. We must encourage people not to postpone the decision to follow Christ, for tomorrow is not promised. Eternal life is too precious a gift to ignore. Those who embrace Jesus receive not only forgiveness but restoration, peace, and the promise of a glorious future in the presence of God. Let us hold fast to this truth and share it boldly: that eternal life is found in Christ alone. And let us walk daily in gratitude, remembering that if we have the Son, we have life—an unshakeable, eternal, abundant life that flows directly from the heart of God.
