How to find God’s forgiveness

Let us recognize our sins before God, let us do not hide what we do wrong, thinking that there is no one who is watching us.

God is righteous and will practice His justice with us, but this is if we humble ourselves before Him, if we recognize that we are wrong before Him. In this way we will find forgiveness from God and we will prosper according to God’s will as the biblical verse that we will analyze in this article tells us. The act of recognizing sin is not simply admitting an error but understanding the weight of what separates us from God and being willing to abandon it through sincere repentance.

God likes us to recognize our mistakes, to be humble before Him, to not be like many who do evil and then refuse to say that they have done nothing. Something that they forget about is that God is watching them from the heavens. Nothing escapes His gaze, neither the thoughts of the heart nor the works done in secret. Trying to hide a sin does not erase it; rather, it only hardens the heart and delays the restoration that God desires to give.

What does the proverbist tells us about this and what does God do when a person acknowledges his fault before Him? The following verse gives us the answer:

He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Proverbs 28:13

Many prefer to follow the path of silence rather than go before God and confess their sins. They live carrying heavy burdens that God never intended for them to carry. Do not forget that we receive a reward from God for being submissive people and for knowing how to recognize our faults before Him. Confession and repentance are doors that lead us to freedom, peace, and spiritual restoration. Prosperity, in biblical terms, is not only material blessing, but wholeness, peace, and a restored relationship with God.

First of all we must recognize those mistakes that have us captive, which make us troubled every day. Some sins create guilt, others create fear, and many create spiritual dryness. If you shed those thoughts and cast them before God, He will forgive you and you will no longer suffer from this evil that was causing your head to be upset. God does not reject a broken and contrite heart; rather, He draws near to restore it. His mercy is ready for those who sincerely seek Him.

So, go before God and He will forgive you and you will be prospered in all your ways. Forsaking sin is not an easy task; it requires courage, discipline, and dependence on God. But the reward is immeasurable: peace of conscience, spiritual clarity, and the joy of knowing that you walk in the light. When we confess our sins, we are aligning ourselves with the truth of God, and His truth always sets us free.

Let us not forget that covering sin only leads to spiritual dryness and stagnation, but confessing it and abandoning it opens the door to divine mercy. God is more willing to forgive than we are willing to confess. His arms are always open, waiting for His children to return with humility and sincerity. May we walk daily in repentance, in honesty before God, and in a constant desire to live lives that honor His holy name.
