We must seize time and seek the Lord at all times, and we must not despise the grace of God that is free and has no cost because Christ died on the cross of Calvary to save us. Many people walk through life believing they will always have another opportunity, another day, another season to come to God, but the Scriptures constantly remind us that today is the acceptable time, today is the day of salvation. God’s mercy is available now, and it is our responsibility to approach Him with reverence and repentance, understanding that His grace is the most precious gift we will ever receive.
God is merciful, and His mercy is a mercy that lasts forever; it is eternal just as our God is eternal. Humanity changes, circumstances change, kingdoms rise and fall, but the mercy of the Lord remains the same throughout all generations. That is why all those who are under that mercy of God should not miss it, but rather make the most of it, glorifying God for that beautiful work He has done in us. His mercy is not something we deserve, but something He gives freely out of the abundance of His love.
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Psalm 103:8
As the verse just read says, our God is gracious, slow to anger, and great in mercy. His patience is not a sign of weakness but of His great love toward us. The wrath of God will come at a time when many have grown tired of rejecting His mercy, when hearts have become hardened and unresponsive to His call. But today, while we still hear His voice, we must not harden our hearts. We must come before the Lord with humility, acknowledging that without His mercy we would be lost.
Everything that the Lord says in His Word is good. God does not lie; His promises are firm and His declarations are trustworthy. He has mercy on everyone, for He makes His sun rise on the just and the unjust. However, it is important to remember that we must seek Him and approach Him, because God delights in those who fear Him and hope in His mercy. The Lord keeps His Word above all, and He will fulfill every promise He has given to His children.
We must believe only Him—God and His faithful and true Words. His goodness is perfect, His mercy abundant, and His compassion reaches every heart that is willing to receive it. His mercy is upon all His followers, those who sincerely seek Him, who walk in integrity, who strive daily to honor Him with their thoughts, words, and actions. These people not only receive mercy but also experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, the peace that only God can give.
That is why it is better that we seek God and receive His mercy before anger can come upon us. Mercy is offered today, freely and abundantly, but judgment will be the portion of those who constantly reject the loving call of God. Let us take advantage of this wonderful time where He has called us to follow Him and learn His Words, because through His Word we are strengthened, restored, corrected, and guided.
If we walk in His paths, meditate on His teachings, and allow His truth to cleanse our hearts, we will understand that God is the only kind, merciful, and faithful God. He invites us to seek Him with sincerity, to trust in His promises, and to live each day recognizing that His grace sustains us. May we never tire of seeking His face, for in Him we find life, forgiveness, and the mercy that endures forever.
