Love towards others is not shown only with words, but also with deeds. True love is visible, tangible, and practical. And when we demonstrate that kind of love, we make known that we are truly sons of God, because God is love, and everyone who practices love is of God.
He who is in the Lord does not feign the love of God, for the love that comes from Him is sincere, pure, and eternal. It is not based on emotions, convenience, or personal benefit. It is a love that never fails and remains forever. Everyone who walks on the paths of truth and goodness will never have a need to pretend love, because the Holy Spirit Himself produces that love in the heart of the believer.
There are many ways to show love for others—through kind words, yes, but also through patience, forgiveness, service, and compassion. Love is revealed when we give help to someone who needs it, when we comfort the broken-hearted, when we bear one another’s burdens, and also when we speak about the great love that God has for all mankind. Telling someone that God loves them is one of the most powerful acts of love we can offer, because it has the power to change a life completely.
The Bible teaches us what this genuine love should look like:
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Romans 12:9
The apostle Paul here gives us a profound truth about love for others. Love must be without hypocrisy. That means it must not be fake, interested, or selective. Many people today speak of love, but do not practice it. They flatter with their lips but deny it with their actions. And this happens because a person who does not have God cannot fully love; they do not possess the source of true love.
Everyone who is in Christ Jesus has love—not a fragile or temporary love, but a true and lasting love that comes from God Himself. This love goes beyond circumstances, beyond offenses, beyond the past. To all those who have lived a bitter life, who have suffered deeply, or who feel unworthy of affection, we have a message: there is a love that remains forever, a love that heals wounds and restores broken hearts. That love is found in God.
We, as believers, have experienced this love, and because we have received it, we must share it with those who have never known the true bearer of love, who is God. Loving others is not optional—it is a command, and at the same time, a privilege. God calls us to be channels of His love in a world that desperately needs it.
If you want to know God’s love personally, you only need to go before Him with a sincere heart and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to transform your heart, to remove hatred, bitterness, and pain, and to give you a love that lasts forever. God delights in answering such prayers. He will soften your heart, heal your wounds, and allow you to love those you once despised or could not forgive.
Only God can be your best solution. Only He can fill your life with a love that does not run out. Cast aside all evil, all resentment, and all darkness, and do good in the name of Jesus. When we walk in love, we reflect the character of Christ and show the world that God truly dwells in us. May His love be our banner, our strength, and our daily motivation.
