He does great things that we do not understand

A wonderful, powerful, majestic God who controls all things. He does things that we do not understand, but that someday we will can understand why the Lord did it that way.

When we speak of God’s sovereignty, we must recognize that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than ours. Many times, as human beings, we want immediate answers, instant solutions, and quick blessings, but God works according to His perfect will and eternal purpose. What today seems confusing or painful, tomorrow will become a testimony of His faithfulness. Even when we do not understand what God is doing, we must trust that He knows exactly what He is allowing and why.

I will give you an example of what people want and ask, they tell the Lord “I want a car or a house”. Actually it is not bad, the problem is that they ask, without patience and with exigency. He is the one who controls everything and therefore we should not give orders to God as if He were our servant, the good thing is to ask and wait because He does as He wants and when he wants.

Prayer is not a way to impose our will on God, but rather an opportunity to align our hearts with His will. When we demand instead of trusting, we show that we have not yet fully understood who God is. True faith waits, rests, and believes even when there is no visible answer. God is not late, nor is He early; He always arrives at the perfect moment.

God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.

Job 37:5

These words remind us that God performs great and marvelous works beyond our understanding. Just as thunder announces His power in the heavens, His actions in our lives declare that He is in control. Even when we cannot comprehend what He is doing, we can be certain that His purposes are good and righteous.

God is good to each one of us, Job had such a great trial that he lost everything, but he did not deny the power of God, nor did reject him, but he adored His name and believed in Him as He went thhrough his great trial.

Job’s life teaches us that faith is not proven in moments of abundance, but in times of loss and suffering. Despite losing his possessions, his family, and his health, Job chose to trust God. He did not fully understand why he was suffering, yet he remained faithful, knowing that God’s power and justice never fail. This kind of faith glorifies God and strengthens our spiritual life.

The works done by His hands demonstrate His power, nature and everything that was created by Him praises Him at all times, so we must cry out to the Lord, give glory only to Him.

All creation reflects the greatness of God. From the smallest detail to the vastness of the heavens, everything testifies that there is a Creator who sustains it all. When we observe nature, we are reminded that God is actively involved in His creation and that nothing escapes His authority.

For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.

Job 37:6

God commands nature with His voice, and it obeys Him. Snow, rain, and storms respond to His authority. This shows us that the same God who controls the elements also governs our lives. If He has power over creation, He surely has power over our circumstances.

Just as everything has been created by Him, He has authority over all things, and even nature obeys Him, because He is God.

He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.

Job 37:7

God allows situations in our lives so that we may recognize His work and depend entirely on Him. Sometimes He stops us, closes doors, or limits our strength so that we may learn to trust in His power rather than our own abilities.

If we breathe it is because it has pleased Him, if we walk it is because He has mercy on us every day, because His words say that His mercies are new every day. For this fact let us give thanks to God and let us hope in Him, because He knows when and why He will continue to do things we do not understand.

Therefore, let us live with gratitude and humility before such a powerful and loving God. Even when we do not understand His ways, we can trust His heart. Our role is to wait, believe, and worship, knowing that everything He does has a purpose and that His mercy sustains us every single day.

How to enter the kingdom of God
His mercies are new every morning

  1. He does great things that we do not understand
    =====================
The Lord God does as he pleases because he is a sovereign God to whom nobody can say “What are you doing?”, or expect from him blessings or wishes to be fulfilled right now.

He is God and we are his creatures and his creation. He knows everything; while we, human beings, are still discovering heavens and constellations of stars and planets. Indeed, much of his creation, but also the conversion of a person—who is changed from being His enemy to a soul tha adores and loves Him—, are things we can’t understand or comprehend. All things we can see and that we cannot see show us how great he is, as is the fact he sent his beloved Son to be abased and punished for men and women of this world. But, as the apostle Paul said:
“who has known the mind of the Lord? or who has been his counselor?”

We are admired for his power and his goodness, and it is true that,
“He does great things that we do not understand”

“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!”, the author of the epistle to the church in Rome, which we read in the Bible, tells us.

So the only thing we can do as creatures of such a wise and powerful God who is love, is adore him, and continue to be amazed and grateful for the blessings we receive from him.

May the Lord God, who truly is an amazing and incomprehensible Holy Spirit, be adored and respected by all people of the earth.
