Answer me soon, oh Lord

For the psalmist David praise was paramount in his life, because he knew that the Lord was pleased with this honorable fact, this man was of an enormous faith, which strengthened him in his difficult moments, and glorified God in this way .

The Transformative Power of a Lifestyle of Praise

From the beginning of the book of Psalms, we can see how David constantly exalted the greatness of God, not only in moments of joy, but also in times of anguish. Praise for him was not a simple ritual, but a lifestyle that reflected dependence, trust, and surrender to the Almighty. David discovered that praising God lifted his spirit, reminded him of God’s past victories, and directed his heart toward hope. This is why praise became an anchor for his soul, a spiritual discipline that kept him firm even when everything around him seemed to collapse. Choosing to praise in the midst of adversity is the ultimate declaration of faith, affirming that God’s character is greater than any challenge we face. This discipline does not deny our pain; rather, it elevates our perspective to the throne where God reigns supreme over every circumstance.

Who made heaven and earth, Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
Psalm 146:6

Praise to God must always be kept on our lips, giving glory to the Lord for His prowess, and for His wonders and for all He has created. When we see all the things that surround us, the sea, the heavens, the moon and the stars, and all of creation, then we say, oh how great you are God of hosts. The vastness of the universe serves as a silent, yet powerful testimony to the immeasurable grandeur of our Creator. Every detail of the natural world, from the celestial bodies to the depths of the ocean, declares the majesty of the One who holds the blueprint of existence. When we align our voices with this chorus of creation, we find that our own smallness is not a source of insignificance, but an opportunity to participate in the adoration of the eternal King.

The psalmist invites us to a deep reflection: if the God we serve is the Creator of heaven and earth, then His power is immeasurable and His faithfulness unchanging. Recognizing this truth should compel us to live lives filled with gratitude. Every sunrise, every breath, every detail of creation is a reminder of His greatness. Even when humanity fails or circumstances become overwhelming, the Lord remains true forever. This is why our praise should not be conditioned by our emotions, but by the eternal character of God. His faithfulness is the bedrock upon which we build our lives, ensuring that even when our foundations shake, the covenant of His love remains secure and immovable throughout all generations.

Who executes justice for the oppressed, Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The Lord looseth the prisoners:
Psalm 146:7

Who is it that frees the captive? Strong and courageous God, who has never lost a battle, who gives bread to the hungry, heals the wounds of those who are sick, restores the heart of the afflicted and covers them with His wings. The active intervention of God in the lives of the vulnerable is a profound reason for constant exaltation. He does not remain distant or indifferent; He moves into the messy reality of human suffering to bring liberty, sustenance, and restoration. Acknowledging His role as our Defender invites us to trust Him with our deepest needs, knowing that His arm is never too short to reach those who call upon Him in truth.

The Compassion of the King

The psalm also highlights the compassionate nature of God. He is not distant or indifferent to the suffering of His creation; instead, He intervenes with justice and mercy. The oppressed, the hungry, the imprisoned, and the afflicted find refuge in His presence. This demonstrates that praise is not only about acknowledging His power, but also His love. God acts in favor of those who cannot defend themselves, and His actions remind us that He cares deeply for each need we experience. True worship recognizes that His authority is always exercised through the lens of His infinite love. When we praise Him for His justice, we are declaring that He is the ultimate standard of righteousness, providing a secure harbor for all who seek refuge under His shadow.

The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous:
Psalm 146:8

We must all thank God for His justice, for His kindness to each one of us, because He deserves all adoration, He attends and heals those who can not see, strengthens the fallen, but above all loves justice and just, that’s why we should give praises to Him. Only Him, for ever and ever. The restoration of vision and strength is a hallmark of His sovereign grace. He restores hope where it has been lost and provides sight to those blinded by the darkness of their situation. Every restoration we witness is a call to further adoration, a reminder that we serve a God who is constantly working to rebuild that which has been broken by the realities of a fallen world.

Restoration and the Eternal Call to Praise

In these words we see again the tenderness of a God who restores what is broken. He opens eyes, lifts burdens, strengthens those who feel crushed by life, and cares lovingly for the righteous. Every act of God is worthy of praise, because each one shows His character: a perfect blend of power, mercy, and holiness. When we meditate on these truths, our hearts cannot remain silent. Genuine praise flows naturally when we recognize that every blessing, every restoration, and every moment of strength comes from Him. This flow of gratitude is the heartbeat of a healthy spiritual life, keeping us attuned to the gentle guidance of the Holy Spirit throughout our daily walk.

Therefore, let us imitate David and countless men and women of the Scriptures who learned to praise God in all circumstances. Praise is not optional for the believer; it is the expression of a grateful heart and a testimony to the world that our God reigns. May praise be found continually on our lips, because He alone is worthy, He alone is faithful, and His kingdom shall never end. Living a life of praise is the most effective witness we can provide to those who do not yet know Him. It demonstrates that our satisfaction is found in the Creator, rather than the temporary gifts of creation. May our lives become a continuous sacrifice of adoration, rising like incense before His throne, as we acknowledge His total supremacy over our past, present, and eternal future. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end of our joy, and the sole reason our hearts beat with hope in a world that so desperately needs the light of His truth. Remain steadfast in this commitment, let your voice be heard in the courts of heaven, and witness how the atmosphere of your life shifts when you prioritize the exaltation of the Almighty above all other concerns. You are called to be a vessel of His praise, a beacon of His grace, and a living monument to His faithfulness that will endure as long as the stars remain in the sky. Step forward with confidence, for the King of Glory is with you, and your lips have been consecrated to speak of His wondrous works for all the days of your life. He is worthy, He is present, and He is working even now, turning your sorrows into songs of deliverance that will echo through the halls of eternity. Continue to exalt His name, for there is no higher privilege than to live in a state of perpetual gratitude to the One who gave His all for your salvation and restoration. This is the essence of the life in the Spirit—a life defined not by circumstances, but by the relentless, unending, and glorious praise of the Lord God Almighty, whose kingdom is from everlasting to everlasting, and whose mercies are new every single morning as we wake to serve Him. Let the whole earth be filled with His glory as we lift our praise to the heavens, knowing that our worship is the bridge that connects our finite existence to His infinite and perfect presence. Your praise is the key that unlocks the door to deeper dimensions of His power, allowing you to walk in the fullness of the liberty He has purchased for you. Keep praising, keep believing, and keep seeking Him, for He is the reward of those who diligently seek His face in spirit and in truth, and His rewards are greater than anything the eye has ever seen or the human heart could ever imagine. May this lifestyle be your signature, and may your testimony reach the ends of the earth, proclaiming that the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations, forever and ever, Amen.

    =====================
All of our existence, our past, our present, and the future of our lives depend on the Lord God who has created heavens and earth, human beings and all creatures which live in them, even small virus and bacteria which are supposed to have existed from the beginning. The Lord God created it all for his glory, and all his creatures ought to love Him and praise him because He is wonderful, slow to wrath and great in mercy. He is love and he loves his creation; he loves men and women so much that he has given his only begotten Son for their redemption.

Let’s all people love Him and praise Him for evermore, respecting his Law, which shows he is Holy, pure and merciful. Who is like the Lord God?
I can’t find words to express my admiration and adoration of the Lord God of heavens and earth.
Let your people bless you and speak of your goodness, your justice and holiness for ever and ever. Amen.

The psalmist David was blessed by God, was near Him, closer to Him although he was a sinner, a man born of a woman. He loves Him and looks for Him all his life; and so he could write Psalm 146, that tells us how good and merciful our God is.

He is thoroughly praiseworthy and worthy of our love and adoration.
I invite you to read this psalm:

“Praise you the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.”

Answer me soon, oh my Lord, so that I am able to praise you with all my heart, being in your presence. Amen
