The Lord your God is merciful

When speaking that God is merciful with us, it is being said that this of mercy is a kind gesture of God with all those who seek Him. The mercy of God is great for the whole world.

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deuteronomy 4:29

When we seek the Lord with all our heart and ask Him, He will not reject us because He is a God who does not reject or despise an afflicted heart. He is God, shows mercy to all His children.

If you seek the Lord in all the place and call Him He will answer and you will find Him, He will listen to you and protect you from all evil. The word of God says that if we knock at His door He will open, that if we call He will respond, and that if we search we will find Him, because He is a God who pities those who seek Him in spirit and in truth.

When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, then in later days you will return to the Lord your God and obey him.

Deuteronomy 4:30

In those times there were many people who only looked for God when they had needs, these people for not to hear the voice of God the evil came and reached them. We can not rule out that in these times we have people who are the same as those of the past, who only looked for God when they needed Him.

For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.

Deuteronomy 4:31

It is good that you recognize that He is God and that without Him we are nothing, that is why it is good for people to seek God without expecting anything in return. He is God and does His will when He believes it is necessary. He is a God of mercy who does justice and helps the thirsty.

  1. THE LORD YOUR GOD IS MERCIFUL

“For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
    Deuteronomy 4:31

Because the Lord God is faithful and his promises are Yes and Amen, his people is truly a blessed people.

The original Israel people rebelled against the Lord God through the years, so they were severely punished, but they got always His pardon, he was moved to pity. He was patient.

He never forgot the covenant he had sworn to their ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and He had and will have mercy on them.

I would like to think a little about the earthly Israel. They have abandoned their God, rejected the Son of God and crucified him as a criminal.

Really Israel deserves all their distresses they have suffered through years, deportations persecutions, and other terrible troubles, hardships received in wars, especially the second war…. But,
The fidelity of God, his promises, his mercy remains for ever.

    We, Christian people, have become people of God for Israel has fallen in incredulity. They are the original olive tree, as the apostle Paul says, some of its branches have broken off and we, as a wild olive tree, have been grafted in among them, and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
    Romans 11:17

So we are adopted children of God but Israel is the people of the Lord God. Because of the promise given to Abraham and by his faith, all nations shall be blessed.
Faith in the person of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

It is very important to trust in our God, for he is faithful and accomplishes his promises, the Covenant made to the ancestors of Israel’s people.
All Israel, the spiritual people, also we, as a part of it, shall be saved, as the Bible tells us:

“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.” Romans 11:26.
The Lord our God is faithful…

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting…

  2. Good morning i have just taken the step about 3 weeks ago and had my water baptism. I would love to know my bible more and i was wondering if you could help me. Thank you

    1. Praise God you have taken the step of baptism. May you begin your journey of transformation becoming the person God created you to be. Develop good solid roots, become part of a Christian Fellowship and Bible teaching. The best guide to teach you about the Bible is the Holy Spirit. Invite the Holy Spirit into your life, the promised helper Jesus promised who will lead you into all truth.
      God bless you

  3. Nadine,
I have read your message and I do not know whether you are addressing me, but I say:
If you are already baptized, It is necessary you follow teachings of your Local Church where you belong there in your city
First all all you ought to learn the a b c of the Bible before being baptized and accept the way of salvation. You must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour and ask him to forgive your sins.
You must go on in reading your Bible everyday and be led by the Pastor of your Christian congregation and be helped by him who is near you.
However, I’ll be glad to help you in some specific question.
    A cordial greeting.
