We all know that everyone who does not keep the words of the Lord does not love Him, if you love the Lord because His words abide in you, and when His words abide in us we can not do wrong.
When the love of Christ is not in us, the enemy uses the emptiness that is in our hearts so that we do everything that is not pleasing to God, and this causes a total lack of control in the life of the human being.
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
John 14:23
Here we can see how the Lord in His walk through all the provinces taught saying that all the people who did not keep His words the father would not perserve them, but to everyone who keeps His words, the Lord will perserve them in the bad days and they will receive what the father has promised them.
It is important that each day we are wise and walk under His Words, because when we walk under His statutes we are freed and at the same time we receive wisdom to understand all that God wants to show us.
Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
John 14:24
Jesus taught the people that the words He spoke to each of them came from the father in heaven, sent by God to His son Jesus so that His son would reveal them to all the people who followed His words. They are faithful and true.
All this I have spoken while still with you.
John 14:25
Yes, we believe in the words of the Lord that are faithful and true and because they come from the Almighty God, we walk under the Lord’s cover, knowing that one day His promises will be fulfilled in our lives. Let us love His words and keep them every day in our hearts.
When we understand the seriousness of Jesus’ words, we begin to realize that obedience is not optional for the believer—it is the natural fruit of a transformed heart. True obedience flows from love, not fear, and from gratitude, not obligation. A person who genuinely loves God will desire to honor Him in every decision, in every moment, and in every secret place of the heart. This is why Jesus emphasizes that those who keep His teachings are the ones who truly belong to Him. Their lives become living testimonies of His grace. The more His Word dwells in us, the more it shapes our character, strengthens our convictions, and exposes anything that separates us from Him. Obedience becomes an act of worship, a daily declaration that Christ reigns within us.
On the other hand, when the Word of God is neglected, the heart becomes vulnerable to confusion, temptation, and spiritual instability. Without the anchor of Scripture, emotions take control and the enemy finds room to plant deceit, bitterness, pride, or rebellion. This is why many people feel spiritually lost—they attempt to follow God without allowing His Word to guide them. But the Lord, in His mercy, has given us His teachings so that we may walk securely and discern the traps of the enemy. His commandments are not burdensome; they are protective boundaries that keep us from destruction. When we walk in them, we experience peace, clarity, and divine direction. The promise Jesus gives is extraordinary: those who keep His Word will be preserved even in the evil days, shielded by the Father’s love and sustained by His faithfulness.
Therefore, the believer must make a daily decision to treasure the Word of God. Reading it is not enough—we must meditate on it, obey it, and allow it to shape our inner life. A heart filled with Scripture cannot be easily shaken by fear or confusion, because God Himself dwells with those who love and obey His teachings. And when trials come, His Word becomes our comfort; when temptation arises, it becomes our shield; when sorrow approaches, it becomes our hope. Let us then commit our lives to loving His Word, for in it we find the promises, the guidance, and the truth that lead us to eternal life. May we be among those whom the Father keeps, protects, and blesses because His Word lives richly within us.
