Ask without hesitation

If we are really Christians, it is because we have believed in Jesus Christ, and this belief implies that we have done it without seeing that person in whom we believe, and this is not a fictitious faith, nor is a faith that hides behind something that does not produces experiences, we experience our faith, in the sense that we ask God and we see His powerful hand at work in our lives and we must ask God to keep this faith and never doubt Him.

Faith is one of the essential pillars in the Christian life, and without it, our walk with God would be empty and without direction. The beauty of true faith is that it is not dependent on physical evidence, emotions of the moment, or what our natural eyes can see. Rather, it is built on the conviction that God is real, that He hears us, and that He acts powerfully on behalf of His children. Every day we have the opportunity to witness His care, His protection, and His provision, and these experiences strengthen our trust in Him. For this reason, we must continually ask God to increase our faith and to help us persevere, even in moments when our circumstances seem contrary to His promises.

James wrote:

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the

The first thing we must understand is that we have to ask for it under the will of God, since God will not give us anything that is not under His will, nothing that will harm us, God wants the good for us and not the bad, and another thing is that the blessings of God do not add sadness, the blessings of God are enjoyed.

In the second place, we can not go to God doubting, because the one who approaches Him must approach believing that they will find Him and that God will answer them, because the one who touches will be opened, the one who calls will be answered. So it does not matter how difficult it is for you to ask God, it does not matter at the crossroads you are in, it does not matter that the pain is so hard that you feel you can not get up, none of this matters if you trust the powerful hand of our Creator.

Without faith it is impossible to please God and it is necessary that everything we ask is under His will and without hesitation.

This teaches us that doubt is not a small or insignificant detail, but a spiritual obstacle that clouds our vision and prevents us from seeing the greatness of God. When doubt dominates the heart, it produces instability, insecurity, and discouragement, just as James compares the doubter to the waves of the sea, moved by the wind from one place to another. A heart without firm faith becomes vulnerable to fear and confusion, but a heart that trusts in God stands on solid ground, no matter how strong the storm may be.

We must also consider that faith grows through constant communion with God. Prayer, reading Scripture, worship, and obedience strengthen our spirit so we can trust more deeply in His promises. Faith does not grow in an empty space; it flourishes when we walk day by day with the Lord, when we give Him our worries, when we surrender our plans, and when we allow Him to guide each step we take. Even when we do not understand what He is doing, we trust that His will is good, perfect, and pleasing.

There will be moments when God’s silence will test us, when the answers seem delayed, or when doors appear closed. However, these seasons are not signs of abandonment but invitations to trust more profoundly. Many of the greatest testimonies of believers were born in moments where everything seemed impossible but faith remained firm. God honors the faith of those who, despite adversity, continue to believe that He is powerful and faithful to fulfill what He has promised.

Therefore, when we ask God for wisdom, strength, provision, healing, direction, or any other need, we must do so with a heart fully convinced that He listens and acts. But we must also do it with humility, recognizing that His will is superior to ours and that He gives what is best for us—sometimes what we ask for, and other times something far greater than what we imagined.

Let us stand firm in the faith, because a Christian without faith is like a lamp without light. Faith illuminates our walk, sustains us in difficulties, strengthens us in weakness, and connects us with the supernatural help of God. Let us ask Him daily to remove doubt from our hearts, to fill us with assurance, and to help us believe even when circumstances challenge our confidence. God is faithful, and He rewards those who seek Him with sincerity and certainty.

May our prayer always be: “Lord, increase our faith,” so that we may walk confidently, trusting in His promises and depending entirely on His perfect will. With unwavering faith, we will see God do wonders in our lives.

  1. ASK WITHOUT HESITATION

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:6)

I believe the Holy Spirit guides us to understand God’s Word, but sometimes it seem as if our reading was fruitless, I am absent-minded and I find this is due to the fact I have not prayed to the Lord asking fervently he may help me to have fellowship with him.

On some occasions my mind is heavy with this world’s things, I feel worried about family problems or I am overexcited about something I’ve got, as tells Luke 14:19
“And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them:… “

I think that when we have our daily reading of Scripture it is necessary to try hard to look for the Lord, so we must pray to the Lord before expecting him to work in us.

When we are going through a trial, it is the best occasion to look closer to the Lord. Someone would say it’s easy for one to speak about these matters if you are not passing through a test. Well, that may be, but I can say that some time ago I was desperate and suffering in my trouble until the Lord Jesus made me humble myself, I prayed to him fervently several times, everywhere. His answer did not delay. I could see clearly and received comfort in my soul; afterwards, I accepted what the Lord had decided for me.

In trouble, it is good for us pray fervently to the Lord believing he listens to us in our needs… and be grateful.
“Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK
according to the power that works in us, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY CHRIST JESUS throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Have a blessed day.
