The root of all kinds of evil

Man every day seeks to enrich himself, and his eyes are only put in the vainglory of life, what they will get tomorrow, or how much they will invest and how much will be earned, his mind only thinks about riches. Many people live with an anxious heart, constantly planning how to accumulate more and more, believing that wealth alone will bring meaning or security. But the tragedy is that this pursuit becomes a trap, a cycle that never ends, because the more they have, the more they want. Their joy becomes dependent on numbers, possessions, and temporary achievements that vanish like smoke. Instead of looking to the eternal, they place their hope in what can be lost, stolen, or destroyed, and this leads to a restless soul that cannot find true peace.

People who are greedy only think about following their own destiny and their love is only money, for which they does not sleep, they are always exalted, if they had a little humility, they have no more because they only thinks about being rich. Their hearts become hard, unable to see the blessings of God or the needs of the people around them. Greed blinds, enslaves, and consumes. It fills the mind with an illusion of control, convincing a person that life is measured by what they own instead of who they are before God. The greedy man forgets relationships, compassion, and even morality; everything becomes secondary when wealth is the idol that governs his decisions.

But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

1 Timothy 6:8

We owe every day thanks to God for the sustenance He gives us, for the daily bread which only God can do this wonderful work with His children, but around us we have people who are not humble. Gratitude should fill our hearts, because God in His mercy gives us what we truly need, not always what we want. Contentment is a precious treasure—being able to say “this is enough” brings peace to the soul. Many people have far more than enough but live frustrated, while others with little have learned to rejoice because they recognize God’s hand in every provision. Contentment is not poverty of ambition; it is richness of spirit.

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

1 Timothy 6:9

But what does the Bible say about these people who are not humble? Psalm 138:6 says “For the LORD is exalted, and he tends to the humble, but to the proud he looks afar off.” This suggests that all men who are humble will be close to God, but the haughty, those who only think about their riches, rejecting the poor, God looks at them from afar. Pride distances the soul from divine presence, while humility attracts favor, protection, and blessing. God knows the intentions of the heart, and He is near to those who recognize their dependence on Him, not on material things.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

1 Timothy 6:10

Be humble in everything you do, give thanks for all the things He gives you, but do not be haughty, because even as He gave you something, He can take it away from you, He is God and He does as He wants, so if you are not practicing humility it is good that you do it because God likes that. True richness is not in possessions but in a heart aligned with God. A humble person can enjoy blessings without being enslaved by them, can give without fear, and live with a peaceful conscience. Let us seek the treasure that does not fade—the treasure of a life pleasing to God, full of gratitude, humility, and eternal purpose.

God likes it when we are humble. He hates and puts far away of him those who are haughty of heart that fall down into the vanity of things which are changing and not remain
So, it is bad to love money and riches. The Lord God gives us things that we wish and he adds more than we need, because he is good. We must not allow ourselves to be carried by covetousness or strive to accumulate money or things which may separate our heart from God. If the Lord God gives us a higher standard of living, we must be grateful to Him who gives us all things to enjoy them.
    (1Timoty 6:17).
The Lord God wants us to enjoy things he gives us in this life, but it is necessary to control our affections, then, all things are lawful for us, in the freedom of the children of God, but not all things are expedient things, nor edifying things.
May our Lord give us to be content or have satisfaction in all states of our life here.
