Huge love

A song by Marcos Vidal says: “Oh what love, immense love, inexhaustible, that has no end”… This is the love of Jesus Christ, our beloved Lord, who gave everything for us. He did not consider His life as something to be held onto, but instead offered His precious blood so that we might live. This truth should become the deepest motivation of our lives. The reason to wake up with joy every morning is not found in circumstances, achievements, or emotions—it is found in the unchanging reality that Jesus loves us like no one else ever could.

When we truly understand this, everything changes. The Christian life is no longer sustained by external motivation, but by the internal certainty of Christ’s love. It is this love that gives meaning to our existence, strength to our weakness, and hope to our future. Without it, life loses its purpose. With it, even the darkest moments are filled with light.

The author of Hebrews said:

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus

This verse calls us to focus completely on Christ. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Everything begins in Him, and everything is completed through Him. When we take our eyes off Jesus, we become distracted, discouraged, and unstable. But when we fix our eyes on Him, we find clarity, strength, and direction.

Jesus endured the cross because of the joy set before Him. That joy was not found in the suffering itself, but in the result of His sacrifice—the redemption of sinners. He saw beyond the pain. He saw the salvation that would come through His obedience. This reveals the depth of the love of Christ. He was willing to suffer because He loved us.

When we meditate on this truth, we realize that our faith is not based on feelings, but on a finished work. Christ has already done everything necessary for our salvation. Our role is to trust, to follow, and to remain anchored in Him.

The Sacrificial Love of Christ

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. In Him all our hopes are born, and in Him we rejoice greatly because He has loved us with an inexhaustible love. He suffered death on a cross for us. Can you imagine that? The Son of God, nailed to a cross, enduring pain, rejection, and humiliation—all for sinners.

We were not deserving of that love. We were far from God, living in sin, pursuing our own desires. Yet Christ chose to love us anyway. Every drop of blood that fell from the cross was a testimony of mercy. It was as if heaven itself was declaring: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

This is the essence of the love of Jesus Christ—a love that gives without expecting, a love that sacrifices without hesitation, and a love that forgives even in the midst of suffering.

Redeemed by the Precious Blood

The apostle Peter reminds us:

18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 1 Peter 1:18-19

This passage reveals the value of our redemption. We were not purchased with temporary things like silver or gold. We were redeemed with the precious blood of Christ. This means that our worth is not defined by the world, but by the price that was paid for us.

To be redeemed means to be rescued, to be restored, and to be brought back into relationship with God. We were once lost, but now we are found. We were once separated, but now we are reconciled. This is the power of the Gospel.

Glory to God! The immense love of Christ has saved us. This is not a small truth—it is the foundation of our identity.

The Love That Never Fails

When we meditate deeply on this love, we understand that there is nothing on earth that can compare to it. Human love is often fragile. People fail, relationships change, and emotions fade. But the love of Christ remains constant.

His love does not change with time. It does not depend on our performance. It is not affected by our circumstances. It is eternal, faithful, and unshakable.

This is the love that sustains us when everything else falls apart. It is the love that holds us when we feel weak. It is the love that guides us when we do not know where to go.

Many believers throughout history have testified that in their darkest moments, what kept them going was the remembrance of the cross. When everything else failed, the love of Christ remained.

The Cross: Our Identity and Hope

The cross is the greatest proof of our value before God. It declares that we are loved, chosen, and redeemed. It reminds us that our identity is not found in our past mistakes or present struggles, but in what Christ has done for us.

No matter what we have done, no matter how far we have fallen, the love of Jesus invites us to return. It calls us to rise again, to trust again, and to walk again in His grace.

When the Bible tells us to fix our eyes on Jesus, it is reminding us that our strength does not come from ourselves. It comes from Him. He is the one who sustains our faith, who strengthens our hearts, and who leads us forward.

A Life of Gratitude

Understanding the love of Christ should lead us to live with gratitude. We have been given something priceless. We have been redeemed, forgiven, and restored.

This gratitude should not remain internal—it should be expressed in the way we live. It should shape our attitudes, influence our decisions, and guide our relationships.

We are called to reflect this love in a world that is increasingly cold and distant. When we love others, we demonstrate the reality of the Gospel. We become living testimonies of God’s grace.

Strength in Every Season

When sadness comes, remember the cross. When strength fails, remember His love. When the enemy whispers lies, remember the truth of what Christ has done.

His words still echo through eternity: “Father, forgive them.” In those words, we find our identity, our hope, and our victory.

The love of Jesus Christ is enough to sustain us through every season of life. It is enough to carry us through trials, to strengthen us in weakness, and to guide us in uncertainty.

The Unchanging Love of Christ

Let us never forget that the love of Jesus does not run out. It does not diminish. It does not change. It remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Every morning we wake up, we can be certain of this: we are loved by Christ. This love covers us, strengthens us, and gives us eternal life.

May our hearts always remember His love. May our lives reflect His grace. And may we never lose sight of the cross.

Glory to God for the inexhaustible love of Christ!

We are all sinners
Let us really love
