The Bible tells us a lot about love, about loving each other and introduces love as the most important part. Jesus taught us how to truly love, since His love was without barriers, was taken to die to a cross, endured the reproach and everything for love to us, that’s why John says: “Because God so loved world, which he has given to his only begotten Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost anymore, may have eternal life (John 3:16).”
Throughout the Scriptures we find that love is not simply an emotion or a passing feeling, but a divine command and a lifestyle that reflects the very character of God. Love is the foundation upon which all Christian teaching stands, and without it, all spiritual practice becomes empty. This is why Jesus insisted so much on love, not only as something to speak about, but as something to demonstrate through actions, compassion, and genuine sacrifice for others.
1 John 3:16-18 dice:
16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?
18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
John is practically saying that God’s love is about Christ giving His life for us and that we should be practicing this by laying down our lives for our brothers and sisters. Remember well the primitive church, the book of the Acts of the apostles emphasizes that they had everything in common, that they were unanimous together, that is, the pain of one was the pain of the other, the need of one was the need of the other, they did have the sample of what genuine love was in Christ Jesus.
When we look at the early church, we see a community deeply committed to living out the love of God in practical ways. They shared their resources, comforted the afflicted, prayed for one another, and cared for the widows and the needy. This unity was not merely emotional; it was visible and tangible. Their love became a testimony that impacted the world around them, drawing more people to Christ simply by observing how they treated each other.
The Bible also tells us that true love does not seek its own, but rather it suffers, it endures everything, it expects everything, love is not overcome by evil and love is the greatest that can exist and many times as such we can not even define it, but we can be sure of something: the greatest example of love is Jesus Christ, His sacrifice on the cross, loving us without limits, dying for sinners who deserved hell and even so He decided love us with His eternal love.
It is important to understand that biblical love involves sacrifice, patience, forgiveness, and humility. Love challenges us to go beyond our comfort, to bless even when it is difficult, and to reflect Christ in every relationship. True love transforms our attitudes and allows us to become instruments of God’s grace in a world that desperately needs compassion and hope. When we love as Jesus loved, we break barriers, heal wounds, and reveal the heart of God to those who walk in darkness.
Let us love one another in the love of the Lord and in this way let us show the world the love of God.
If believers today commit themselves to living in this same spirit of love, the world would be able to witness the power of the Gospel not only through words but through living testimonies. Love opens doors, restores families, unites communities, and strengthens faith. By choosing to love sincerely, we follow the footsteps of Christ and fulfill His commandment to be light in the midst of darkness.

“Let us love one another in the love of the Lord and in this way let us show the World the love of God.”
This sentence tells us the evidence of our faith in Jesus Christ. God loves the World, he loves humans beings which he has created, and he does
not wants that anybody shall perish.
God is love, just and merciful, but
over all others attributes belongs to Him, he is Holy and he hates the bad actions of men, the sin. In Romans 6:23 it is written “for the wages of sin is death…”
We have received the forgiveness of ous bad actions.
Our Lord Jesus Christh has taken my place. He has paid the wages of my sin because he loves me, I must love my brothers.
… And in this way, let us show the World the love of God.
Amen.
