Put on the full armor of God

When we are dressed in the powerful armor of God, no evil can attack us because we are protected by the Almighty God, but to have this armor, what should we do? Search more and more of God, be always in His presence and do His will. This spiritual armor is not something temporary or superficial, but a deep and daily dependence on the Lord. We must fill our hearts with His Word, strengthen our faith through prayer, and walk in obedience so that every part of the divine protection surrounds us. The Christian life is a constant journey, and that journey becomes secure when we embrace God’s strength rather than relying on our own. This armor represents His truth, His righteousness, His gospel, and His power at work in us.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Ephesians 6:11

Remember that in antiquity when soldiers went to war they had to have their armor in order to protect themselves from their enemies, and by means of their armor they lasted longer in war. Their confidence came not from their personal skill alone, but from the protection that surrounded them. In the same way, God calls us to be equipped so that we may remain standing in every spiritual battle. Without proper preparation, a soldier is vulnerable, and the same is true for believers who attempt to face temptation or trials without relying on the Lord.

It must be said that these men were quite sure of what they were wearing, and they were confident that no adversary could destroy them, and if we have God and then our armor, what will happen? We know that our God is our shield, the One who defends us from all evil and strengthens our armor. He fortifies our mind, gives firmness to our steps, and keeps our hearts anchored in the truth. With His protection, even the fiercest battles become opportunities to grow in faith, demonstrating that the Lord truly sustains His children.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms..

Ephesians 6:12

This letter to the Ephesians clarifies that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness. Satan is never still; he is always attentive, seeking to destroy us, weaken our strength, and make us fall. The believer who forgets this reality becomes spiritually unaware, allowing the enemy to attack through deceit, discouragement, or confusion. But God, in His mercy, reminds us that victory does not depend on earthly weapons, but on His Spirit working within us.

And this fight will not stop until the time in which Satan is destroyed, but we have to be attentive to all the darts of the enemy, because if we are not aware of this, then the enemy can attack us with any strategy. Our vigilance must be constant, for spiritual warfare does not pause. The devil uses subtle thoughts, distractions, and temptations to try to distance us from God. Those who remain alert and anchored in Scripture are able to discern lies and respond with truth.

It is important that we do not ignore the machinations of the enemy, because if we neglect, we could be attacked by the evil one, our adversary the devil, who always seeks the form for us to lose heart. He knows our weaknesses and attempts to exploit them, but the armor of God gives us strength, clarity, and courage. When our hope is rooted in the Lord, discouragement loses its power, and the enemy’s plans are defeated before they even take shape.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 6:13

It is good to take this advice so that when these moments of anguish come we can face them with all the armor that Almighty God deposited in us, so that we can defend ourselves against every trick of the enemy. Life brings trials, but God equips His children so that no adversity can completely crush them. With His armor, we resist fear, overcome doubt, and remain firm in His promises. This firmness glorifies God because it shows that our confidence is not in circumstances but in His enduring power.

It is of the utmost importance that you are attentive to all the deceit of the devil, and that if you are not covered by the powerful armor of God, then ask Him to cover you and give you new strength so that in bad times you are prepared and can overcome. Seek His presence daily, meditate on His Word, and trust that He strengthens every area of your spiritual life. With God’s armor, you will stand firm, resist temptation, and walk in victory, knowing that the Almighty fights for you and sustains you forever.

Without God’s armor, we are lost in our battle against Satan and his servants.
Faith and God’s Word are essential to resist our souls’ enemies. The power of the Spirit strengthens us and prayer keeps us standing.

We need also to love the Lord over all things, in spite of our weakness and our bodily appetites.

We are dealing with spiritual forces which battle against the children of God and His beloved Son Jesus.

Jesus protects us and helps us as if He was a soldier’s shield.
Let’s be grateful to Him, who loves us
