A promise of eternal life

In its beginnings, Christianity was the victim of great persecutions, prisons, deaths, that is, being a Christian cost the lives of thousands of people in their beginnings, and we saw this in middle age in the same way. They were objects of ridicule by kings, principals and important people of the time. On the other hand, it should not seem strange to think that in the 21st century we continue to suffer different persecutions in certain countries.

We must never weaken our faith by the trials and difficulties that we face on a daily basis, since we have been promised eternal life, and when it says eternal it is truly eternal. We should feel the happiest beings in the world for this fact, can you imagine worshiping God for an eternity? Glory to God!

The apostle Paul said:

11 Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him;

12 if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;

13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.

2 Timothy 2:11-13

It is good to read this, since it affirms our full confidence in what was promised by our Creator. Here Paul is saying that we should do not think that our sufferings and tribulations are in vain, that we should do not think that all this pain is forever or that we will never live a better life, otherwise, we have in our thoughts the idea that one day we will be together with Him for an eternity.

There is a very famous chant that says:

There will be no need from the light the glow

Neither the sun will give its light, nor its heat.

There will not be crying

Neither sadness nor pain,

Because then Jesus The king of the heaven

will be Helper for ever

There will come a day where that eternal life that has been promised to us will be given to us and we will not need the earthly things we have today, and not only that, but we will not shed any more tears and we will be before God for an eternity.

Let us continue trusting God in the midst of all trials and rejoice, for one day all this will end.
