Oh all righteous, praise God, give glory and honor to the only true God. Let us thank God because our refuge comes from Him, for Him we are here.
Who is this who helps us in all the moments of precariousness, even when we feel desperate He comes and covers us under His wings, and opens the way in the midst of darkness. This is God.
Where does our refuge come from, but from God who sustains us and removes all the obstacles that arise before us? When the path seems closed, when the strength fails, when the heart feels overwhelmed, it is God who stands as our safe place. Many trust in their own abilities, in people, or in material things, but sooner or later all that proves to be fragile. Only God remains firm, faithful, and immovable.
In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
Psalm 11:1
These words reflect a deep confidence in God. David, surrounded by danger and persecution, did not place his trust in escape or human strategies, but in the Lord. He understood that running away was not always the solution, because true security does not come from changing places, but from resting in God. When our soul is troubled, when fear tries to take over, God reminds us that He is our refuge.
If God had not been our refuge, then we would die, and all the enemy’s darts would come upon us and end us. But we have a big one in power and powerful in battle: God big and strong, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. This is our refuge.
The enemy seeks to destroy, discourage, and make us doubt, but God stands as a shield around us. His protection is not limited by time or circumstance. He knows every attack before it comes, and He provides the strength needed to endure. Even when we do not see it, God is fighting battles on our behalf.
That is why our soul acclaims the God of our salvation, just as He makes the sun rise for all mankind. In this way God protects us. His mercy reaches both the righteous and the unrighteous, and His patience shows His great love. Every new day is a reminder that God has not abandoned us and that His grace continues to sustain us.
A man alone has no light to walk through a darkness without being touched by the one who is always attentive to destroy you. Without God, humanity walks blindly, exposed to fear, confusion, and despair. Darkness is not only external, it also lives in the heart when God is absent. But when God enters our life, He becomes our light, guiding each step and showing us the way we must go.
God in the middle of this moment defends and helps you. God is your help, the God you can trust, Your refuge and strengthening. Only in Him can get up and continue.
Trusting in God does not mean that we will never face difficulties, but it does mean that we will never face them alone. God gives us strength when we feel weak, hope when everything seems lost, and peace when the storm rages. He lifts us when we fall and renews us when our strength is gone.
Let us therefore remain firm in faith, remembering that our refuge is not found in this world, but in God. When fear comes, let us run to Him. When doubt arises, let us trust Him. When darkness surrounds us, let us seek His light. God is our refuge today, tomorrow, and forever.
