Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses

We find Jesus in all the Scriptures, not only in the New Testament, but also in the Old Testament, where we find many prophecies about Jesus, who would be our Savior, Redeemer and Healer, and all of this was fulfilled when Christ came to earth in the form of a man, every prophecy that was said about Jesus was fulfilled to the letter and we give glory to God for that, because He is true and just, and His Word is always fulfilled.

The Bible says:

16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

Matthew 8:16-17

Before this event that the Scriptures tell us, we also find that Peter’s mother-in-law was ill, had a fever, and our Lord Jesus, only touched her and was immediately healed.

We read many miracles that were performed by Jesus, and there were so many that John says: “If all the miracles done by Jesus were written, the books would not fit in the world”. John uses this expression to imply that the number of miracles that Jesus did was quite large.

Beloved brothers, our God is powerful, and all those healings that were produced at that time were part of the divine plan, they were things that had to be fulfilled because they had been prophesied like that.

“Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses”. In addition to all the healings that took place at that time, Christ also had to bear all our sins on the cross, can you imagine the heavy burden that was bearing the sin of millions and millions of people? Christ endured all that for us and that is why we must give honor and glory to each moment of our lives.
