God is the builder of everything

Oh, how great you are God, you who created everything, created us from the dust of the earth, gave breath of life to your perfect creation, put your creation in the Garden of Eden and gave them everything they needed. You were always with them and you had mercy.

Around them you created every beast of the field, the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, and everything you did you created perfect. Many say there is no God, how can not be a God if the same nature announces Him? It says who He is and what He has done and what He will continue to do.

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.

Hebrews 3:4

The truth is, as this writer of the Hebrews says, every house is made by someone. But God is the one who made all things, His power does not compare to anything, He is the great, sovereign, majestic, merciful God, and who helps us every day.

“Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.

Hebrews 3:5

When we read the book of exodus, we find the history of the people of Israel when they were captive by the pharaoh, it happens that when the people were going to be freed by God, they put in doubt everything that there was a God who would take them out of there but when they were taken out of that slavery they did not thank God, but said, “Lord, you took us out of Egypt to let us die in the desert.” Israel, despite being released from pharaoh’s hand was not grateful to God, they only claimed the Lord, but what they were ignoring was that the one who brought them out of Egypt was not going to let them die in the desert.

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

Hebrews 3:6

How can we reject the God who created all things, a God who brings hope to our lives? The Lord gives us strength every day, gives us food and blesses us even without deserving it.

The greatness of God is seen not only in the fact that He created all things, but in the way He sustains them with His power. Creation itself is a testimony louder than any human argument: the heavens declare His glory, the stars obey His order, the seas stop where He commands, and life exists because He breathed it into existence. Every detail of the universe reflects intelligence, beauty, and purpose. Nothing is accidental. Everything created points back to a Creator whose wisdom has no limits. This is why denying God is denying the very evidence imprinted in creation.

Hebrews 3:4 reminds us of a simple but powerful truth: if every house has a builder, then the universe—which is infinitely more complex, majestic, and perfectly ordered—must have its Builder. God is not only the Creator; He is the Architect of everything that exists. And as the Builder, He is also the Owner and Sustainer. His sovereignty extends over the worlds He fashioned, and His mercy sustains even those who do not acknowledge Him. Each sunrise, each heartbeat, each breath is a gift of His grace.

The writer of Hebrews also highlights the faithfulness of Moses, a man chosen to lead Israel out of bondage. Moses served faithfully, even when the people complained, doubted, and rebelled. Israel often forgot the miracles God had done: the plagues that humbled Egypt, the Red Sea that opened before them, the manna that fell daily, and the water that flowed from the rock. Instead of gratitude, they complained. Instead of trust, they doubted. Yet God continued to guide them because His mercy is greater than human stubbornness. Even when they imagined they would die in the desert, God was already preparing a promised land for them.

But Moses, as faithful as he was, was still a servant. Hebrews 3:6 shows us the contrast: Christ is not a servant in the house—He is the Son over the house. And we, redeemed by His blood, are that house. What a profound truth! God does not merely dwell near His people; He dwells in them through His Spirit. We belong to His household, His family, His eternal purpose. This privilege calls us to hold firmly to our faith and to the hope that sustains us.

Rejecting a God who is so good, so faithful, so present, is rejecting the very source of life. Everything we have comes from His hand: our strength, our food, our protection, our salvation. Even when we fail Him, He remains faithful. Even when we forget Him, He remembers us. Even when we wander, He calls us back. His love is not based on our merit—it flows from who He is.

Therefore, let us recognize His greatness, honor His faithfulness, and remember that we are His house. Let us cling to confidence in Christ and to the hope of His promises. The Creator of the universe is the One who sustains us, guides us, and calls us His own. What greater reason could we have to worship Him every day of our lives?

  1. If God, our God, is the builder of every thing, he is the creator of our body and soul also in the mother’s womb, as King David says.
This is an important thing, indeed, in
spite of we seldom think about.
So we must believe too that the Lord will sustain and makes us persevere until the end of our life here in the earth. God be blessed!
