Lesson of humility: A King was born in a manger

It is always good to remember the teachings that Jesus gave. Jesus invited people to practice what he taught them.

In this article we bring you a biblical quote from the book of Matthew where he explains the birth of Jesus and why Jesus was born in that place:

This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 1:18

How could be explained that Mary became pregnant being a virgin. This was a big problem, so his fiance Joseoph tried to leave her in secret so that a great embarrassment would not be created:

19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.

21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Matthew 1:19-22

Joseph, seeing that this situation was going on so strong, decided to turn away from Mary so as not to harm her, but the Word says that an angel appeared to Joseph and told him not to be afraid of receiving Mary as a woman, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph had no more fear, and he did not leave her, but he attended to Mary, until she gave birth to Jesus and cared for her at all times and attended to God’s entire mandate.

3 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Matthew 1:23-25

Speaking of this very exciting topic about the birth of Jesus, we see the teaching that God is giving us about being humble, and this is what the Lord wants to make clear to us, and it is because in those times there were many rich people, as well as today. It is good that we take into account each of the teachings that Jesus gives us through his word.

The Bible tells us that Jesus was born in a mager as King, Creator of all things, here we see that He humbled himself regardless of the place or regardless of what they were to say about Him.

To conclude, it is important to emphasize that we should guard ourselves from what the Scriptures say about this, and is that we should not be arrogant or bad people, that if someone needs us, we will not say no, but we will help them in whatever it is possible to help them, because if we count the miracles that Jesus did, we would not end today with this great help that Jesus gave us.

  1. A King was born in a manger
    ======================
It is a lesson of humility for all people of this world, the fact that Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, who was in his glory with his power and majesty, came down to this earth to be Emmanuel, God with us.

Isaiah, the prophet of God, announced the event: that a child would be born of a virgin, a Messiah, Jesus, the Saviour, because he would save his people from their sins.

Jesus, the Saviour. The apostle Matthew tells us:
“This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 1:18)

Among unbelievers, Jesus’s birth, this historic event, is one more of those which happened twenty one centuries ago: that an important person, as were others, like Mohammed or Buddha in the religious field, was born.
But the reality was that God, the only one which exists, Creator of heaven and earth, humiliated himself and took on a human body; and He was incarnated by the power of the Holy Spirit in a virgin woman, the blessed Mary.

At the time the Messiah was born, He—being true God and true man— was exalted by the angels of heaven. They sang with joyful voices:
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
    (Luke 2:14)

Both wise men and shepherds with their cattle received Him, and they went to the manger to adore Him. He is the king among kings of the earth, and deserves all glory and adoration.

The Lord Jesus Christ did know why he had come to this world, and what he had to suffer—death on a Cross—for sinners like us. He was obedient and he took the place of a servant to fulfil his work. That work which was commanded by the Father.

Jesus, the king of kings, was humiliated, despised and crucified like a vulgar delinquent and he bore it all by love.
Is there any love like this love?

May all people pay tribute to and worship Jesus, because he is the Lord of Heaven and earth who came to us for our eternal salvation.
May His name be blessed forever
