The indescribable love of God

What is the love of God? Well, the love of God is something that we can not even define as such, because when we examine ourselves and the people around us, we can see the limits that go beyond the love of God. God does not need us to do good deeds to love ourselves, nor did need us to be good people to be saved and bestow His grace, and here is the center of all this link about the sublime love of God for us, His creation.

We are given to love people for the good they do to us, but when a person does evil we do not look at them with the same pleasure, unlike God, our Creator has loved us even doing evil every day, His love has overcome our evil, His light has overcome our darkness, His power has overcome our weakness and His holiness has surpassed our humanity.

His love has no limits, He does not look at race, economic position, height or beauty, no! God is not like us, He does not look at any of these things, He simply loves us as no one loves us and this without us deserving Him at all.

A good verse of the Bible to love of God’s love is this:

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 John 4:10

We must read this verse very well so that we can take with great seriousness the indescribable love of God. Let us not use the arrogance of thinking that we are Christians because one day we decided it, rather, we are Christians because God decided so. We did not sit down and said: “Today I will begin to love God”, the opposite, God was the one who decided to love us and this really is a love that transcends the natural.

Glory be to our God who has loved us with such a pleasant love and in this we rejoice every day, in that without our deserving it He loved us with great love.
