We always hear people say that there are righteous, but if we read some verses, we realize that just one is just and is the Lord Almighty.
As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
Romans 3:10
Paul here in this verse is explaining to us that there is no single righteous person; Here we can see that the apostle is telling us that there is only one good and wonderful God who does justice and who has mercy, and that His mercy does not compare with anything.
Sometimes we think, how a just God can destroy or send someone to hell ?, Well according to His Word: That everyone who commits sin and does not repent will reach eternal damnation.
We can see how this world is going, and it is because many are not practicing justice and have no mercy, and that is why there is only one righteous person, who can have mercy on everything around Him, Jesus Christ, our savior.
Many people also say that no one was found just before Sodom and Gomorrah destruction, but one was found and his name was Lot, who resided in that city, a perverted city that was shrouded in delight and sin.
That man who lived next to his family, was never contaminated with that people who always maintained a total disorder and did everything that was not pleasant in the eyes of God. They thought that God was not seeing what they were doing, and they were wrong, because God does not miss anything, because He is aware of everything that is around us.
Abraham interceded for Lot so that he can be delivered from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. God, seeing that Abraham interceded for that man named Lot, allowed Lot to leave with his family from that place so that they could be saved.
The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.
Genesis 19:1
Here we see that the angels agreed to enter the house of Lot, entered and ate at his house. This tells us that there was a righteous man in that place, and that neither he nor his family had been contaminated with everything that was there.
Lot followed all the mandate that the angels had told him, and it was that he left that city that would be destroyed by the angels. And that man obeyed and left that city with his family.
