By the breath of God’s wrath those who plow iniquity are consumed

In chapter 4 of the book of Job, we can see the words of Eliphaz, who makes a comment towards Job. In his observation, we can see that he believes that Job suffered some consequences because he had carried sin or that there was iniquity in him. However, he was wrong in his words.

There are trials, as in the case of Job, that are very hard. We know that these can be so strong that we think of giving up everything, but that is why we have the hope that is in the hands of our God. We must remember that God never abandoned this man who was going through very difficult times.

Those who are just and righteous before the Lord will not be reached by the wrath of God nor consumed, because they have not committed iniquity.

By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.

Job 4:9

A person who listens to the Lord’s message and lets himself be guided by Him, and does not act on his own opinion, perseveres and does not bring evil on his path. God always takes care of him and puts him on high. Above all, be faithful to Him who is faithful in everything, and who gives and does good in everything.

Let us pray to the Lord to take care of our hearts. That, when that test comes to our lives, we may speak to our God so that He may strengthen us throughout our process. Brothers in Christ, let us trust in Him who is our faithful God.
