The verse that we will see in this article is a psalm of the children of Korah that speaks of the greatness of God, how powerful and fearsome He is, and also urges all the people to praise God by clapping their hands and recognizing mercy and the love that comes from Him.
God is a great King just as this psalm says, He is the Most High and is above all the other “gods” who are simply sculptures made by the hands of men.
That is why in the next verse he talks about how all the people of the earth should praise the Lord because His kingdom is over all and His power endures forever.
For the Lord most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.
Psalm 47:2
