In God is my salvation and my glory

In the first lines of this writing, we can see a man faithful to God giving orders to his soul to remain in the place of complete trust. He is the Lord, our salvation.

Can we have that same confidence that David had? The psalmist placed all of his trust in the God of his salvation because he knew that if he did not trust in God, his kingdom would fall apart. That is why he speaks of the great glory in the Lord.

Verse 62:7 shows us the psalmist’s devotion to the Lord, recognizing that if his feet were in sand, he would sink, but when he placed his feet on the firm and strong rock, he would not sink.

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Psalm 62:7

Can we say the same thing that the psalmist said about the Lord? Placing all our trust in the Lord guarantees us security, well-being and blessing.

The Lord is our firm rock, we can go to Him and we will be helped; His hands will support us. We will be reached by his salvation.

Brothers, we can say: “O Lord, You are our refuge, You are the God who sustains us.” Let us put all our trust in the Lord. Let us command ourselves to stand firm in the salvation of the Lord and that our feet are on the solid rock.
