They will perish in their own corruption

The apostle Peter says the following about those people who talk about things they do not understand, they are irrational beings and always act as if they were believers. However, their actions do not support their faith, so it is inevitable that they will perish in their own doom as their time has run out.

They are like animals, fools and very easy prey for the enemy of our souls. Their minds are blocked and all they think about is leading astray those who do do the divine will of the Lord. They mistakenly think that the day of the Lord will not come to judge the unrighteous for their evil deeds.

Peter is very clear in describing these malicious people, stating that they act according to the flesh rather than the Spirit.

But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

2 Peter 2:12

Peter’s message is clear in relation to these deceivers who pose as believers, but in reality seek to divert others from the presence of God.

The judgment that this servant of the Lord pronounces is for those who spread a different gospel and cause problems among their community.

As we can see in chapter 2 of Second Peter, today we also face similar behavior from numerous false teachers who claim to be believers, but their actions demonstrate otherwise. All of them will receive their deserved punishment for their injustice and will perish in their own destruction.
