This is a great call that the psalmist makes so that all peoples would come to praise God, who is great in mercy and power. He is the almighty God, because His mercy endures from generation to generation.
It is good to see this call made by this great man of God. He mentioned Israel and also all peoples, urging them to recognize that they exist thanks to the mercy of the Lord, and that this mercy is upon them. Let us all praise the King of kings and Lord of lords.
We cannot forget something very important, and that is the great faithfulness of the Father towards all His children, because everything He promises, He fulfills. How can we not praise Him, if He is good.
Give hallelujah to the Lord, all people, and applaud in honor and glory to God:
For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalm 117:2
Our God is not only to be praised for His infinite love, but also for His great goodness, mercy, faithfulness, and eternal truth.
God will not change his great kindness toward us, nor His great mercy, because He is faithful and keeps His word.
We have every reason to join our voices and sing psalms to the Lord, praising His name above all heights. He has performed great wonders from ancient times until now, He has been faithful and will be. Therefore, all nations and languages should exalt the Lord, who is worthy of all worship. Amen.
