The Lord will carry out His sentence on earth with speed and finality

It is clear that the Lord will always have a purpose and will preserve those who in His infinite mercy are chosen by Him, that is why the Lord Himself will promptly execute His sentence on all men in justice. These are judgments sent by the Lord for the sin of Judah.

In these cases, the powerful hand of God always fell on those peoples, as he also gives a brief example of why the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, but also had mercy on some. That is why the author of the Romans in his chapter 9 verse 28 tells us the following:

For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.

Romans 9:28

Romans chapter 9 talks about the election of Israel and how God executes His judgments. The apostle also talks about faith and that God’s righteousness comes through faith and not by work.

That is why in these end times we remind you that one day all the inhabitants of the earth will appear before a judgment that will determine who will be worthy of entering the Holy City and who will be thrown into the lake of fire.

This is why you know that to achieve justice, it must be by faith, which is in Christ Jesus, since, if you read Romans 9 in full, you will realize that Israel was after justice by works and not by faith, and because of that was that he lost his battles and sinned before God.

Let us act as wise Christians, let us not seek justice by works, but rather act by faith, because if we do not do so, then we will be sentenced by God in judgment as Sodom and Gomorrah were.
