Since the sin of the wicked and their wickedness is great before God, their punishment will also be great because their thoughts are totally corrupted by their wickedness.
Strong pain will come towards them, the wrath of the Lord will be poured out in such a terrible way on the wicked, they have no mercy when it comes to committing their atrocities, that is why the destruction of the Lord will come upon them.
How oft is the candle of the wicked put out! and how oft cometh their destruction upon them! God distributeth sorrows in his anger.
Job 21:17
In chapter 21 of Job, he questions the prosperity of the wicked, since Job was going through difficult times having been very upright, but in the verse that we have just seen, we see how there will be a sad ending for the wicked, despite having lived a prosperous life.
The Bible in many verses teaches us not to be blinded by the apparent progress of people who do evil. Let us remember that many have ill-gotten riches and that is why they will have a sad end, because on that great day of final judgment they will be condemned.
Let us continue to walk in the straight paths of the Lord, so that we can dwell with Him for all eternity.
