In this world, many people have been remembered through all the centuries, either by an invention, by a book, or by any kind of legacy they have left. However, none of them has been perfect, all have been simple humans with great virtues, but in the case of our Lord Jesus Christ, He has been a great man, with virtues that no other has ever had.
Many people live with the excuse that they do not want to visit a church because the pastor is as sinful as they are. They are always disillusioned with current Christianity, where they see all sorts of things happening that they never thought could happen inside a church.
It is true that human beings hava all kinds of imperfections, among them, those that are more remarkable are: Not to forgive, to do evil to his neighbor, to lie, among many others. However, did you know that there is a person who walked in this world and did not have any of those imperfections even for a moment? His name is Jesus, and although you have suffered many disappointments in life I want to show you the qualities of this perfect being:
He has mercy on who does not deserve it
Jesus came to die for the sins of all mankind (John 3:16). But not only did He die for humanity, but He showed mercy, the greatest clemency that any other man could ever have.
First, we must consider this: He came to his own, and his own did not receive him. (John 1:11) He came to die for humanity, and instead of receiving Him, He was thrown out. He experienced the most severe pain, and all because of the great love He had and still has for us.
Do you think there is another man capable of having so much mercy? Obviously the answer is no, but there is a man called Jesus Christ, who was able to have such a wide mercy, as it is to die for those who hate Him.
In the final moment, in which His body was already full of blows, where physically He could not anymore, while everyone enjoyed watching the death of the only begotten of God, our beloved Lord uttered the following words:
34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.”
And they divided His garments and cast lots.
Luke 23:34
Jesus does not have a single mistake
This is the best news for us. Even though Jesus came as a man, as a hundred percent human, He maintained the greatest integrity that can be had. The Bible tells us that no sin was found in Him.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Hebreus 4:15
Perhaps you live frustrated with so many imperfections that you have seen in yourself, in the pastor or in any other person. However, there is someone called Jesus, who does not have a single imperfection. He is the most admirable being that has ever crossed the mother nature.
He is extremely perfect, He never fails, He has never given a bad testimony. I invite you to know Him more closely and I assure you that He will not betray you.
Jesus makes promises to us and He fulfills them
It is natural to see that most politicians make promises and do not fulfills them. On the other hand, perhaps it has happened to you that you have loved a person very much and that person ends up leaving, even having promised that He would remain with you for a lifetime.
Unlike all these people, Jesus never abandons us and always keeps His promises.
Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matthew 28:20
Jesus has promised to be with us every day of our lives and I give you for sure that that promise does not fail, because faithful is the one who has promised.
We can trust Jesus because He is the only one who gives us sure words:
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
2 Peter 1:19
You realize? These are only three great qualities of the thousands that our great Lord Jesus Christ has. If you are disappointed because of others, I want to tell you through this article that man lives struggling with sin and never manages to be perfect. But if you put your gaze on Jesus, you will see all His beauty, all His sincerity and honesty, all His love with the one who has loved us. Hold on to Him and I assure you that you will not be disappointed.
To finish, I leave you with this verse:
2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2
