I will gather you with great mercies

If we spoke of the mercies of God towards His people Israel, I think we would not finish writing, since through all the Scriptures we learn that God greatly loved this people, regardless of whether they have left Him in many scenarios, God never broke the Covenant that he made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob saying: “In you all the nations of the earth will be blessed”.

God always corrected this people, and at the right time punished them, but we should never divert our attention that God loved them incomparably, and it is important that through this story we understand the great love that God has had for us.

The prophet Isaiah said:

7 “For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.

8 In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,”
says the Lord your Redeemer.

Isaiah 54:7-8

We all know how rebellious the people of Israel were, how many times they went behind their idols, how many times they forgot God, and yet God picked them up from the ends of the earth. Do you believe that God’s mercies end? Dear brother, something very vital that we can learn from these two verses is found in verse number 8 that says: “with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you”.

The mercies of God are eternal, they have no limits, He is patient with us, and seeks that no one be lost. God never tires of calling us to do good, He has mercy on us eternally.
