My God will be with you

Every day we must believe in the Lord, in that He is with us, and will be until the end of time, keeping each of His children and all those who make the decision to follow Him.

The Unwavering Presence of God in Our Daily Lives

Daily living sometimes brings us trials and difficulties which also make us doubt the Lord, and when doubt comes into our lives, we begin to say, “I do not see God in the middle of this difficulty that I am going through.” But we are wrong because God is always with us at all times. The fact that we cannot see Him acting immediately does not mean He is absent. God is faithful, and His promises stand firm regardless of what our eyes can perceive. When the storms of life intensify, our human nature tends to prioritize our feelings over the eternal truths of Scripture. However, true maturity in Christ is measured by our ability to remain anchored to His promises even when the visible horizon seems dark and uncertain.

Our walk with God requires faith—a faith that remains steadfast even when circumstances become heavy, a faith that looks beyond what we feel and remembers what God has spoken. Through the Scriptures, God reminds us over and over that He will never leave us nor forsake us. And this truth must anchor our soul every day. This internal anchor is not built on temporary emotional highs but on the solid rock of divine revelation. To cultivate this, we must intentionally immerse ourselves in the Word, letting it transform our perspective on the challenges we encounter.

Understanding the Depth of Biblical Wisdom

The book of Chronicles makes mention of the Psalmist David speaking to his son:

“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.” (1 Chronicles 28:20)

Here we see how the Psalmist David gives advice to his son, telling him not to fear because God is with him. This advice was for when Solomon was reigning—to do everything according to the laws, to trust in the Lord, and to walk in His commandments. David, who had experienced many trials in his own life, knew very well that God’s presence was the key to overcoming every challenge. The weight of the kingdom was significant, yet David understood that human strength alone would be insufficient for such a monumental task. Solomon needed a spiritual foundation that transcended political alliances or military might.

Preparing for the Calling and Purpose

David was encouraging his son; he was preparing him for the moment he began to reign over the people of Israel. He urged him to strive in the work of the Lord, not to faint, “because God will be with you; He will not forsake you.” What a beautiful and powerful encouragement coming from a father to his son. It is nice to imagine meeting every day a father like David—someone who lifts your spirit and reminds you that God is with you, guiding your steps and strengthening your hands for every task. This fatherly guidance serves as a model for how we should speak encouragement into the lives of those entrusted to our care, pointing them always back to the source of all strength.

These words also teach us the importance of spiritual legacy. David was not only passing the kingdom to Solomon; he was passing faith, conviction, and confidence in God. And this same message is for us today: we must continue our journey with courage, trusting that the God who called us will sustain us until the end. Spiritual legacy is the most valuable inheritance one can receive. It is not merely about physical assets or status, but about equipping the next generation with the internal tools necessary to survive and thrive in a world that often opposes the things of God.

God Provides the Resources for His Work

“And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.” (1 Chronicles 28:21)

Let us continue forward in the Lord without fear of anything, because God is with us always; He does not leave us alone. Just as God surrounded Solomon with priests, Levites, willing workers, and leaders to support the work, He also surrounds us with people, opportunities, and resources aligned to His purpose. When God orders something, He also provides everything needed to accomplish it. We often experience anxiety because we focus on our perceived lack rather than the infinite supply of our Provider. When we align our vision with God’s directives, we find that He orchestrates circumstances in ways that often seem impossible from a human viewpoint.

The Assurance of Divine Support

Consider the breadth of the support system David outlined for Solomon. It was not limited to spiritual leaders; it included craftsmen, princes, and the entire body of the people. This illustrates that God works through a diverse array of channels to ensure His plan is fulfilled. We must be alert and receptive, recognizing the helpers that the Lord places in our path. Often, we might feel overwhelmed by a project or a calling, thinking we have to carry the burden entirely on our own shoulders. However, the testimony of Scripture is clear: we are members of a body, and God sustains that body with everything it requires for maturation and growth.

Do not forget something important: God is with you as a mighty giant. His presence goes before you, His hand strengthens you, and His love sustains you day by day. Trust in Him and walk with confidence, for He who promised is faithful. This identity—being a child of the King—changes how we process failure, disappointment, and success. It allows us to view our daily existence through the lens of eternity, knowing that our steps are ordered by One who knows the end from the beginning.

Cultivating a Heart of Persistent Trust

Developing a resilient faith involves a disciplined heart. It means waking up each morning and intentionally declaring the promises of God over your life. When the world tries to impose a narrative of scarcity or defeat, you must counteract it with the truth of abundance and victory found in Christ. Faith is an active pursuit, not a passive experience. It requires us to listen for His voice amidst the noise of the world and to obey even when the logic of the situation suggests a different path. This is the essence of the “work” David spoke of—a life dedicated to the service of the house of the Lord, whether that house is a physical structure or the hearts of those we lead.

The transition from fear to courage is not instantaneous; it is a walk. As we tread this path, we gather strength from past victories. Remembering how God delivered us yesterday serves as a fuel for the fires of our faith today. We should keep a record, mental or written, of the ways the Lord has made a way when there seemed to be no way. These monuments of grace become the pillars upon which we build our future hope. Every challenge is simply another opportunity to witness the power of God in action. We are not abandoned in our trials; we are invited into a deeper intimacy with the One who holds the universe together.

Living in the Fullness of His Promise

The promise given to Solomon is effectively a promise for all believers today. We are builders of a spiritual legacy, contributing to the eternal kingdom of God. While the tasks may differ—some called to leadership, others to support, others to creative or administrative service—the requirement remains the same: be strong and of good courage. This strength is not self-generated; it is derived from our union with the Almighty. We remain in Him, and He remains in us, creating a synergy that defies the limitations of human effort.

In the quiet moments of the day, when the distractions of the world fall away, we should find space to meditate on the fact that the Creator of all things is our companion. This realization should ignite a sense of purpose that nothing can extinguish. Our work, our relationships, and our service become worship. Every action is imbued with significance because it is performed in the presence of the Lord. As we move forward, let us do so with the confidence that the work we do for His kingdom is never in vain. He is the author and finisher of our faith, and He will ensure that every work He has started in us is brought to completion.

Ultimately, the message is one of profound peace. We can let go of the need to control every outcome, knowing that the sovereign God is at the helm. He is orchestrating the movements of our lives with a precision that we cannot fully grasp but can fully trust. We are safe in His hands. We are led by His Spirit. We are supported by His grace. Therefore, we can face the future with boldness, knowing that our story is being written by the most faithful Author imaginable. Stand firm, keep your eyes on the Savior, and continue the work He has called you to, for He is with you until the end of time.

Reflect upon your current path. Are you allowing the circumstances of today to dictate your level of joy, or are you grounded in the unchanging nature of your God? True security is found only in the knowledge of His presence. When you embrace this truth, your entire demeanor shifts. You become a beacon of light in a dark world, demonstrating that it is possible to be unshakable in the face of upheaval. His presence is the ultimate comfort, the source of our strength, and the guarantee of our success. Walk in this light today, knowing that the King of kings walks beside you, upholding you with His righteous right hand in every situation you face.

The eternal mercy of the Lord

  1. My God will be with you
    ===================
King David, a brave and hardened soldier, fearful of God, had fought and won many battles against enemies of Israel. He knew how the Lord God had helped him in all difficulties, He had never failed him; and so he assured Solomon that his God would be with him until he finished building the temple of Jerusalem.

“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.”
    1 Chronicles 28:20

We also ought to entrust all our matters to the Lord because he loves us and he is interested in all things we may go through; especially he wants our soul to be saved, which is the most important thing; but he does not forget we are dust and we have a body which needs things to live.

We must be sure the almighty God is our Father and knows we need food and a dress, a place where we shelter, and a family; and we also need to find comfort to our souls until the end of our lives.

Let us be grateful to our Father, who is in heaven, who gives us daily bread and takes care of us.

May we wish His name to be glorified. Amen
