The mercy of God is what sustains us and keeps us every day, so we must ask the Lord to have mercy on us every day, just like the psalmist David did.
David humbled himself before God, asking Him to keep him at all times, to have mercy on him, the Psalmist never lost hope that God would show mercy to him. There was no despair in him, it was because he knew that God would go to his aid.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
Psalm 27:7
Never tire of crying out to God, or singing praises in times of difficulty, because the Lord hears your voice, He is always attentive to your supplications. Even though you can not see Him He is always around you, to strengthen you and to have mercy on you.
It is true that many when they have problems are not patient, they do not wait for God’s moment, because they only think that they want to get out of their problems and move forward. But these people, when God opens the way for them and helps them with their problems, leave the Lord because they only needed to get out of that situation they were in.
When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
Psalm 27:8
It is important that each day we get closer and closer to the Lord, because when we look for Him our lives change completely, every day we will know His great mercy and His love towards each one of us.
Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
Psalm 27:9
He is the God of our salvation, let’s look for Him every day, let us draw near, walk under His statutes, know His words and enjoy His mercies, which He has with us. Let’s not forget that He is just and merciful.
