Eternal trust

Having trust in God is the best thing that can happen to us, because when we are trusting in Him, we can walk without fear of anything, even when we have trials. The trust we have in the Lord makes us wait for the purpose of God to be fulfilled in our lives.

This kind of confidence is not something superficial; it is a deep conviction that the God who created us is faithful to His promises. Many times life confronts us with circumstances that seem beyond our strength, and fear tries to overwhelm our hearts. But when our trust is placed firmly in the Lord, that fear loses its power. We begin to see our trials not as obstacles meant to destroy us, but as opportunities in which God will show His power and reveal His perfect will. Trusting in Him allows us to walk with serenity, knowing that nothing escapes His control.

Something we have to think about every day is that God is merciful with all those who trust in Him and with those who wait for Him, so we must be patient in everything we are going to do. Patience is one of the greatest evidences of trust, because it shows that we believe God will act at the right time. When we rush ahead, we end up making decisions based on anxiety; but when we wait on Him, our spirit remains steady, and our hearts rest under His care.

But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;
I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.

Psalm 52:8

That trust we have in the Lord will help us to walk straight and without fear before God, it will keep us as a green olive tree, we will always be full of encouragement, the spirit will be encouraged. A green olive tree represents life, stability, and fruitfulness. In the same way, when we place our confidence in God, our spiritual life remains vibrant even when everything around us feels unstable. The storms may shake us, but they cannot uproot us, because our roots are firmly planted in the house of the Lord.

In the house of God we will be joyful, confident, without fear of anything, and thanking God for all the things He gives us, obeying His statutes, and walking straight before Him. Being in His presence fills us with renewed strength, with gratitude, and with a peace that cannot be explained by natural means. The Lord delights in those who trust Him, and He sustains them with His unfailing love.

The mercies of God are renewed every day in our lives, so we must give honor to the Almighty God, for His great deeds with His children. If you seek the Lord every day, His mercy will be with you every day of your life. This truth should give us confidence and joy, because even when we fail, His mercy lifts us again. He does not grow tired of sustaining His people.

I will praise You forever,
Because You have done it;
And in the presence of Your saints
I will wait on Your name, for it is good.

Psalm 52:9

We must be grateful to the Lord, every day bless and glorify His holy name, because He cares for us every day, and if we stand as a green olive tree it is because our trust is in the powerful hands of God. Gratitude is the natural response of a heart that knows it is loved and sustained by the Creator.

It is important that we trust in the Lord day after day, because only He can help us, He will give us peace in our hearts, and His mercy will accompany us every day of our lives. May our confidence in God grow continually, knowing that He is faithful and His goodness endures forever.

Hope for grace
We belong to the Lord

    Our confidence in God comes from the eternal covenant of grace that He stablishes unilaterally with his people: He decides to bless them, lead by his love and mercy, but because he is just he has to judge the evil works of men and women, which originate from the human couple he created in the beginning, who were perfect beings.

    As a result of that judgment, he realized that people deserve to be punished because at one they disobeyed the precepts of his Creator. It is said that “the wages of sin is death”.
    Therefore all people should die. But he had mercy and promised to save those who received and accepted the only One who is perfect and pure: The begotten Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. He pays for the sins committed by His people.

    The Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation of our trust in God, our eternal trust; He has made it possible for us to receive peace in our hearts and to be made children of God. We trust in God by the work of Jesus.

    We can say as the psalmist:
    “But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever.” Psalm 52:8

    I join with the author in pronouncing the words we can read in today’s article, and I repeat:

    “It is important that we trust in the Lord day after day, because only He can help us, He will give us peace in our hearts, and His mercy will accompany us every day of our lives.”
