What are we saved from? In the context of salvation that comes from God, we are saved from the wrath of God that is to be poured out on the children of iniquity, on those who hate the good and delight in the bad things, and God, through our Lord Jesus Christ has decided to save us from His wrath.
The Bible expresses:
11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:11-12
The truth is that God through His Son has given us eternal life, and that life does not begin when we step on the heaven, but it starts from now on. God in His eternal sovereignty and deity decided to save us, and this was from the moment in which Adam disobeyed the commandments of God, from that moment God gave us His Son so that we can be saved from the wrath that was to be poured out, and that anger that was supposed to fall on us fell on Jesus Christ and thus proved that he loved us with an inexplicable love.
There is no reason to be sad today, there is no reason to want to come back from this great race of faith, there is no reason to say that God does not love you, because the greatest love He already shown it by sending His only Son to free us from His anger and give us salvation through Jesus Christ. We give Glory to God for that!
