A great reward

A certain writer said: “Just as the world is fed up with me, every day I am more tired of the things of the world.” Beloved brothers, we are partakers of heavenly things, of the grace of God, which we have acquired through the death of His Son on the cross. Jesus has promised us a great reward in heaven, but He also assured us that we would have struggle and difficulties, that this path would not be easy, that we would be hated by all, and we must be prepared for the world to hate us.

The message of Jesus was never an easy message, nor was a message to satisfy others, He never compromised the divine message with human fame, always remained obedient speaking to the people the divine message. It is good that we know that, how difficult the message of Jesus is, it is not an entertainment park where we enjoy its wonders. But another thing that we must understand is that despite being a very difficult road we have an award, that despite being hated by all we have a joy, a peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that the world can not give us. That peace is given by Christ and if there is someone who is not a Christian reading these lines we want them to know that Christ gives a peace that crosses every line regardless of the problem.

Jesus said:

11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 5:11-12

When we are suffering for the grace of Christ we just have to stop and think: “I am blessed”. And it is that we are the most graceful people on the face of the earth when at all times they tell us lying all kinds of evils. We are the most worthy of bliss when they speak against us for the sake of Christ. Remember that passage from the book of Acts when the apostles were being scourged and the Scriptures say that when they left that place they came out joyful because they were taken into account to suffer the reproach of Christ.

Rejoice this day to be part of this, because one day we will receive a great reward in the heavens, an award that has no comparison. Give glory to God.
