The book of Deuteronomy tells us about Israel, a people chosen by God and freed from the yoke of Egypt. This town was very mistreated, but one day the moment came when God freed them from that slavery.
This town was a long time under the yoke of Pharaoh, who had the people of Israel enslaved, doing everything he wanted. But Almighty God came to their aid to fight for each one of them.
When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 20:1
The Lord’s promises to the people of Israel were always present, because everything that God promised them was fulfilled. The Lord helps them in battles, chapter 20 of this book tells us of a sure way of God’s counsel for His people: That if chariots and horses came, do not be afraid, because He will give them the victory and He was reminding them that the He took them out of the bondage of Egypt, it was God who will deliver them from the hands of their enemies.
And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
Deuteronomy 20:3
When God is on our side, our enemies can not defeat us, no matter who gets up. He always goes to our front to help us fight against our enemies.
For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
Deuteronomy 20:4
This is the confidence we must have in our Almighty God, who will be in charge of everything. Do not be afraid, do not lose heart, because God will fight and be with us as a mighty giant.
