We must be firm looking for the Lord, because everything that is around us passes, but whoever does the will of God will live forever. He will help us to abide steadfast in His Word.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1 John 2:15
When we worry about the things that are in the world that are vanity of vanities, they will pass away and if we leave God, His love will not be in our hearts, because everything material will perish one day, but if we are firm we will continue in the Lord.
We should not love the world or the things that are in it, because when we love the world and turn away from God, we are saying that the carnal things are more important than God.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1 John 2:16
Everything in the world is temporary, but the enemy also uses all these things to keep man out of the ways of God. While man does His own will and lives loving the passing things that are in this world, the love of God can never enter their hearts.
Man has forgotten and deviated from the ways of God, this accuses of the carnal things which happen, we can also say that the human being can lose his soul for each of the things that move around him that are transient.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:17
That’s why it’s good that we do not get sidetracked by the things that perish, these same what they do is lead us to the destruction of our souls. God is faithful and abides forever, keep looking at God and if we are focused on the material things, let us separate our eyes, because this will be for good.
