Blessed are those who did not see and believed

It is very easy to believe that something exists when we see it, but to believe in someone without having seen it is faith. And this is our faith, that we believe that Christ is the Son of God and that He exists in His maximum splendor even without having seen Him. And this faith must never change, for Christ calls everyone who believes without having seen, blessed.

The Bible tells us about a situation that can be very useful to us, which is very well known to all of us, it says:

27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”

28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”

29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

John 20:27-29

Here we have the situation of the risen Christ. For many people, the resurrection of Christ was simply a fallacy and apparently even among His disciples there was someone with the same thought of the mass. In verse 25 of this same chapter says:

So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

Amazing! But apparently Thomas had a very superficial faith, this gentleman did not care to see the same Christ, with the same physique or anything like that, if he did not see his hands with the sign of the nails or put his fingers in the place of the nails, and put his hand in his side, he would not believe. Vast disbelief!

So there are many people, they are like Thomas, they see the works of the Lord and still do not believe and insist on saying that they have never seen God and that is why they do not believe.

After Thomas could do everything he wanted to prove that it was Jesus, he said: “My Lord, and my God!”. It is very easy to say these words in this way, but let’s see something very important that Jesus said at that moment: “Because you have seen me, Thomas, you believed, blessed are those who did not see, and believed.”

We are truly blessed when we believe in God without having seen Him, and this is the source of our faith.
