There are times when we are tempted by one or several things that come into our lives, one is when we lack food, another is when we are being attacked by a family member, the evil one always seeks to tempt us.
And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
Matthew 4:2
Jesus being in the desert was tempted by the enemy, who came to Him tempting Him with the same Scriptures, one of the strategies to make Jesus fall was to turn that stone into bread, but Jesus answered him and said: Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.
Matthew 4:3
This was a form that the enemy used to tempt Jesus after having lasted forty days and forty nights fasting and was hungry, but the tempter thought that Jesus could fall at the call of the enemy.
Satan knew that Jesus was the Messiah, son of the Most High God, but he looked for a way to see if the Son could sin against the father, here we can see that the enemy did not care that Jesus was the son of God and tempted Him.
It is good to keep in mind that satan will always seek the way to tempt you, he will use any kind of object or something else to make you sin against God.
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:4
There will come times when the enemy will attack us, but we have to recognize that sometimes we have a need where we may lack food and because of the lack of food we will also be attacked. But God never leaves His children alone and besides supplying us He also helps us to be patient and to wait on Him.
