7 powerful facts of God in the Bible

We can find hundreds of great works that God has made throughout the entire Scripture. However, there are some that we remember more than others because they seem great in the extreme to us. Today we will name 7 powerful facts that God made in the Bible, which demonstrate His absolute power and great sovereignty. We also know that through these facts mentioned, our faith will increase even more.

1- The creation

Creation in general is a very great work on God’s part, starting from the creation of the universe, the earth, the great luminaries, the sea, the skies, the beasts of the field, every living organism and ending with: “The man”. This is extremely wonderful, because we know that we serve a God who has the power to create celestial objects, besides creating life forms, this is without a doubt a great work.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

2- The exit of the people of Israel from Egypt

We have all heard or read this great story, but what we must remember is that this story was real, it is not a fable, God brought the people of Israel with a strong hand of Pharaoh’s empire. The Bible tells us powerful works that God made there and among them we can highlight:

  1. The 10 pests (Exodus 10)
  2. The division of the red sea (Exodus 14)
  3. God gives manna to the people (Exodus 16)
  4. Water from the rock (Exodus 17)

These alone are 4 great works, but God made many more in front of the people of Israel.

3- The defeat of the Amorreus

This is a great story. Can you imagine, they were in a war and their enemies were the Amorreus, however, that day, the same God of the heavens fought for them, because God sent hail from the heavens:

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the Lord cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

Joshua 10:11

4- God rescues his servants from the furnace of fire

In the book of Daniel chapter 3, we find a very inspiring story that shows us the greatness of God and how God shows that He is King of kings. God set free from a great furnace of fire His three servants who did not want to worship other gods and they came out from the furnance without any trace of burn:

25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Daniel 3:25-27

5- A blind man receives sight

Jesus did hundreds of miracles, so the Bible teaches us in the book of John that if all the miracles He did would be written on books, they would not fit on the earth. But let’s at least mention one such that the people of Israel had not seen a miracle like this:

41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

Luke 18:41-42

6- Pedro is released from prison

The Bible teaches us, speaking about the apostle Peter:

6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

Acts 12:6-9

This is a demonstration that there is nothing and no one who can stop the work of God.

7- The death of the son of God

This one does have an indescribable importance, because when everything was lost, when all humanity was far from God, the Son of God came as a mediator of a new covenant and united us together with God again, justifying us, making us free from Eternal damnation, is there a greater work than this?

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Ephesians 2:1-2

We give glory to God for all his wonders, for what He has done and will continue to do in our lives.
