There are difficult moments in which we go before the presence of God and we ask Him to listen to us, this is because perhaps we have our mind disturbed by something that happened to us or that is happening to us.
God never neglects His children, He always hears their cries, inclines their ears, just as the psalmist David uttered these words asking God to bow their ears and listen to their cries, remember that God is always ready to help us.
My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.Proverbs 4:20
God is always right in everything, because He is God and knows everything even when we move, it is necessary that we be attentive to His Word, be obedient in everything the Lord sends us.
Only to Him we owe obedience, God knows what will go wrong or what will go well, we must know that the Lord does not miss anything, because He always looks at our walk, He sees if our path is crooked.
Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;Proverbs 4:21
Solomon knew why he said these things, and that His words are faithful and true and that in them we can find what we will never find outside the Lord, His word illuminates our path, when we walk badly before God, He corrects us through His word.
We can not get away from this wonderful way. God is our salvation, He is the one who raises us in the midst of difficulties, and cares for us when we walk in dark places, the Lord is our shepherd, and will continue to be all the time.
for they are life to those who find them
and health to oneโs whole body.Proverbs 4:22
It is very important, that our trust is entirely deposited in God, who is our deliverer, so we must be attentive to His commandments and carry His word with righteousness, being faithful and expecting what He has promised to all those who trust in Him.
When we meditate on these verses, we discover a powerful truth: God desires that our hearts remain sensitive to His voice. Many times, the noise of our circumstances makes it difficult to perceive His guidance, but even in those seasons, God continues to speak to us through His Word. His instructions have the purpose of giving us life, restoring our strength, and directing our steps when we feel lost or overwhelmed.
The human heart is easily distracted. We often pay more attention to our worries than to the promises of God, and as a result, our faith weakens. This is why the book of Proverbs insists on the importance of keeping His words within our hearts. When the Word dwells in us, it becomes a shield in moments of anguish and a lamp in moments of darkness. It shapes our thoughts, strengthens our will, and gives clarity when confusion attempts to settle in our minds.
It is also worth noting that Solomon, when giving these instructions, was not speaking theoretically; he had lived the consequences of walking outside of God’s wisdom and the blessings of walking in obedience. He understood that the heart is the center of our decisions, actions, and emotions, and therefore it must be constantly nourished with the truth of God. If we do not fill our hearts with His Word, something elseโfear, doubt, pride, or sinโwill try to take its place.
Godโs Word not only guides us but also heals us. There are wounds in the soul that no human remedy can fix, burdens that no friend can lift, and fears that no effort of our own can remove. However, when we come before God and allow His Word to work within us, something supernatural occurs: peace replaces anguish, clarity replaces confusion, and hope rises where despair once lived. This is why the Scripture says that His words are life and health for our entire being.
In moments when we feel unheard, we must remember that God’s silence is not abandonment. Many times He is working in ways we cannot see, preparing the path we will walk tomorrow. Our responsibility is to remain attentive, to incline our ears to His truth, and to trust that His plans are always perfect. He has never forsaken His children, and He will not start now.
May we learn each day to approach God with confidence, knowing that He hears us and cares for every detail of our lives. Let us treasure His Word in our hearts, for in it we find life, wisdom, and direction for every step we take.
