It is remarkable that from time to time we have seen the hand of God working and restoring, in the times of the old testament we find different events that happened, some good and others bad, because many people followed the mandate of God, and others did not do it, then those who did not follow their statutes suffered the consequences.
When we look carefully at the history of the people of Israel, we realize that the human heart has always struggled between obedience and rebellion. The same God who blessed, restored and guided His people is the same God who, through His justice, allowed consequences when they decided to move away from His path. This dynamic teaches us that God is not indifferent to human behavior; on the contrary, He calls us to walk in righteousness so that His blessings may rest upon us. Throughout the Old Testament we repeatedly see the pattern: those who trusted in the Lord saw His powerful hand, while those who rejected His counsel found themselves lost in their own decisions.
those the Lord blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed.
Psalm 37:22
We can say that the people who seek Him and who cling to that wonderful faith, God Himself helps them grow in Him.
This faith is what sustains us to wait for His promise, because the Lord Himself fulfills what He promises, although many do not believe to this great promise, but all who trust in Him believe that wonderful promise.
But one thing that has happened is that all the time, many people have received their payment and this is due to their evil, and that is why we hear many people say: “how is it that a God of mercy can destroy people”, but remember that this is because of their evil and because they do not want to get away from their evil ways.
This question has existed for generations: how can a merciful God allow destruction? The answer, however, is not rooted in God’s lack of mercy but in mankind’s unwillingness to repent. God warns, calls, teaches, corrects, and extends grace, but when the heart remains hardened, consequences naturally follow. Divine judgment never comes without prior patience, without repeated calls to return. The justice of God is not cruel; it is holy, balanced and perfect. What many fail to see is that His mercy is so great that He delays judgment so that people may have the opportunity to turn from their evil ways.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;
Psalm 37:23
The Lord is always aware of everything we do, He looks at every step we take, God looks around and looks at everything we pay be good or bad, but the bad and the good have their reward, to each according to their works.
Those who delight in God walk with confidence, not because their path is free of difficulties, but because they are sustained by the One who governs everything. The believer who trusts in the Lord understands that his steps are guided, even when life feels uncertain. Many times, God strengthens us precisely in moments where we feel weakest, reminding us that dependence on Him is not a limitation but a source of strength. The more we delight in His presence, the more firm our walk becomes.
though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
Psalm 37:24
A person who carries the justice of God is saved by the Lord and will also take care of him and under his wings is secure, the Lord will hold you in His hands and when we fall we will not be prostrated and this is because our God will raise us up.
Every day that passes we must ask the Lord to guide us on our path, for when the enemy wants to attack us, He can come to our rescue and can defend us. Believe every day that the almighty Lord God will take care of us and help us to remain in Him.
That promise—“he will not fall”—is a powerful reminder that stumbling is part of the human experience, but remaining on the ground is not the destiny of the righteous. God lifts, restores, strengthens and teaches. He does not abandon us in weakness but uses it to build character and deepen our trust. As we walk with Him, we discover that no attack of the enemy is greater than the hand that sustains us. This assurance moves us to persevere with faith, knowing that the One who upholds us is faithful forever.
Therefore, let us continue seeking the Lord with sincerity, understanding that His blessings are not random but directed toward those who walk under His counsel. When we delight in His ways, our path finds stability, our faith grows, and our lives reflect the justice and mercy of the God who watches over us at every step.
