Foolishness to those who are perishing

The gospel message is the most impressive message we have ever heard, impressive by the fact that it is not a message for a specific mass, nor for a race or a special social entity, rather, it is a message for all afflicted, for all colors, for the rich and the poor, it is the only transforming message that exists on earth, the only message that transforms a miserable person into a different person. The Bible says:

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
1 Corinthians 1:18-19

The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, that is, a message like this, that tells you that the death of a man on the cross is capable of saving millions of people from hell. The word of the cross is foolishness because a man who was greatly hated, trampled, spat, was able to pronounce the sublime words: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”. The message of the cross is a great message where the unjust one is made righteous, where the guilty party passes as innocent. This is crazy.

But to those who are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God. The gospel is God’s power for us, because when we were dead in our crimes and sins it was the only message that gathered us from the mud, that transformed us and that freed us from the bondage of sin.

Glory we give to God for the great things He has done in us, for being partakers of a message as glorious as the message of the Gospel.

Let us continue multiplying or carrying this great message to all people so that they know how powerful the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ is.

When we look around us, we realize that humanity is desperately seeking answers. People seek meaning in philosophies, ideologies, material wealth, and even in temporary pleasures, but nothing manages to transform the human heart as the gospel does. The uniqueness of this message lies not only in its universality but also in its divine origin. It does not emerge from human wisdom or intellectual speculation; it comes directly from the heart of God, who desires that every person be reached, restored, and reconciled to Him.

This is why Paul emphasizes that God destroys the wisdom of the wise and brings to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Human reason alone cannot grasp the depth of the cross, because the cross dismantles human pride. It confronts us with our inability to save ourselves and reveals the greatness of a Savior who humbled Himself to the point of death. The gospel does not glorify human achievements; it glorifies the mercy and power of God acting in weak vessels such as us.

Every believer who has experienced the transformative power of the gospel can testify that it is not merely a doctrine or an idea, but a living force that renews, heals, and redirects the human life. The person who once walked without hope begins to walk with purpose. The one who lived enslaved by guilt receives forgiveness and peace. The one who was spiritually blind begins to see the beauty of a God who loves without measure. This is why the message of the cross is indispensable and irreplaceable in a world that is spiritually deteriorating.

It is essential that we, as those who have been redeemed, never underestimate the value of this message. Sometimes familiarity can make us forget the magnitude of what Christ has done for us. The gospel is not simply the first step of the Christian life; it is the foundation on which everything else rests. Every day we must return to the cross to remember how far God’s grace has brought us and how much He continues to work in us.

For this reason, sharing the gospel is not a burden but a privilege. We carry in our hands the only message capable of giving eternal life. Each person we encounter—whether family, friends, coworkers, or strangers—needs to know that hope exists, that forgiveness is possible, and that God continues to transform lives today. We are called to be witnesses of this truth, to speak with love, conviction, and humility, pointing always to Christ, the center of our salvation.

May God strengthen us to announce this powerful message with boldness. May we never forget that the gospel is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures, because its power flows from God Himself. And may our lives be living testimonies that demonstrate that the message of the cross is still the power of God for salvation to all who believe.

  1. To everyone God works in ways that no one can explain but by knowing that life has its up and downs and more downs then ups . Just remember God is always around us and he works for us in ways that we cannot imagine. When times are tuff look to him and pray to him and in my life a couple of days go by and your answers are there or money comes or stress is released. But alway remember that if you have nothing to believe in you will have chaos . And your trouble will be ten fold . So trust in the lord and trust in his son Jesus Christ who said to God please forgive them because they do not understand what the have done
