The ways of the wicked are crooked at all times

In this psalm we will talk about the prayer that the psalmist makes, asking for the destruction of the wicked, since they were not only satisfied with obtaining riches, but they also practiced atrocities that were not pleasing in the eyes of God.

It is true that the ways of the wicked remain crooked at all times; their thoughts grow worse every day, and they commit more infractions before the Lord who is in heaven and watches over them. The injustices they commit are being watched by God. Many think that God’s judgments are far away, and that is why the behavior of many wicked people persists.

You might think that there would be no consequences for these evildoers, but they themselves begin to stumble. This happens because God’s judgments have already begun to fall, indicating that the time of their downfall has come.

His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

Psalm 10:5

That is why we see here David’s supplication before the God of heaven, asking that His justice come to the house of the righteous and that they be saved. For the psalmist it was a struggle, but he did not stop trusting that God would soon come to his aid.

Many people turn aside in their ways; therefore God calls upon man to straighten his path before the judgment of the Lord overtakes him and he perishes. Everything has its time, and even if the wicked man acts and becomes rich, his day will soon come.
