In Psalm 51, verse 7, we see David’s prayer to God to restore him and purify him from his sin, from the evil he had done before the Lord.
The psalmist felt dirty and wanted God to be his priest, to cleanse him with hyssop, so that he would be clean and whiter than snow.
This chapter shows us that David was deeply sorry for what he had done. That is why, in this Psalm 51, he asks the Lord to help him. Can we go to the Lord and ask Him to cleanse and purify us, just as David did? This Psalm says the following:
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psalm 51:7
It is important to recognize that we are sinners and that we can turn to God to ask for forgiveness according to His mercy, because only He can help us, just as He forgave and purified David for what he had done.
You must keep in mind that your life can change if you recognize that you have failed and that there is only One who can turn your lament into dancing and gird you with joy; He transforms your sadness into joy. Only He can restore your whole being.
Brother, do you want to change that sadness that day after day fills your life with bitterness? You just have to seek the Lord and ask Him to purify you and make you cleaner than snow.
