Man has always wanted to seek his own glory, meanwhile Jesus Himself exhorts them to seek God’s glory and not their own.
Anyone who clings to the glory of man, who immerses himself in vanity, is saying that he does not believe in the glory and life of Jesus, that glory that purifies us and transforms us when it reaches us.
How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
John 5:44
In one way or another, since the Master wanted to show them that the glory of man serves only for his own destruction, that is why we see Jesus questioning why they do not seek the glory that comes from the only God, because we all know that this glory is perfect, good and with it comes salvation.
Have you always sought your own glory and the glory of others and have you forgotten the glory of God? Come to Jesus and you will find salvation because Jesus is the one who has the power to save you. Seek the glory of Jesus.
