The goodness of God

Paul’s epistle to Titus describes how men have been rescued from their sin and wickedness, being saved not by their works, but by the grace and goodness of God.

The love and goodness of the Lord have been so great that He made an enormous sacrifice by giving his life to show us the only way that leads us to salvation, to walk without sin and without stain, rescuing us through His justice and the work of the Holy Spirit. Let’s see how God’s goodness and mercy reached humanity:

4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Titus 3:4-5

Many may think that they are on the path thanks to their works and efforts, but let me tell you that is not the case. Rather, what you must believe is that you have been rescued by the favor, goodness, and mercy of God.

We have been renewed by his Holy Spirit, separating us from all sin and all evil influences around us, so that humanity can be saved. Dear friends and brothers, let us remember that we have been rescued thanks to the work and grace of our Lord, not by the work of our hands, but by Him. Amen.
